Here's what happens when a 5 ton and a bus meet...
Before anyone worries.... my cousin asked me to help him move his "camp"...
Never needed to go in low or lock the front wheels in...
Tried the love tap... all it did was pop the cover and break the sealant inside. I even tried tapping directly on the solenoids. No love. ๐คทโโ๏ธ New solenoids will be in tomorrow morning and I'll rebuild it.
OK bud... here we go....
Now.... I used a military relay to separate my main power/amps from my switch, so I'll include that in my description...
Here is my overhead console the three toggles were wired into a 24->12vdc converter. Toggle one is the Bluetooth stereo, toggle two is the backup...
Don't hate me because I use Bertha to bring g a little joy into the lives of poor waifs who only want a little affection in their lives... and I had to drive UPHILL through snow BOTH WAYS to bring them a glimmer of happiness! ๐๐ ๐คฃ๐ ๐

For Father's day/birthday, my girlfriend was sweet enough to buy me an overhead console/backup camera/Bluetooth stereo/dome light combo from www.thosemilitaryguys.com
Of course installation took longer than expected..๐คทโโ๏ธ
So now I have toons, light at night and a back up...
Starting with the most recent add ons to Bertha...
Got a beacon light kit:
Proceeded with installation... of course we remember the problems I had with lenses...
Fortunately I'm past that... cleaned, derusted and painted all the hardware black to match..
Had to figure out how...
OK all-
After hand to hand combat on these things, I got them wired correctly and working. I'll post details in another post.
I wired my toggle #3 on my overhead to 24vdc and ran to the relay from there.
Tomorrow is mounting and cleaning up wiring.
My 2cents.....
I connected mine between the positive of the battery and starter.
All you need is a ground from any wire and the system is still hot. Take away the positive, and it can't accidentally be hot.
