No I didn't mean to sound like I was looking for the deal of the century I just don't like mechanicing all the time. do you think the seals may be dried out or it will work for awhile. I don't mean to sound conceited either so please forgive me if it sounded that way... I am very appreciative...
Are the IP's you got in fairly good shape? I don't want to have to do this again for awhile, if I can help it. I will pm you with my cell #. What gaskets will I need and can I get them from Napa? I know I need the intake gaskets, how many are there for the pump? I have never done an IP before...
The IP has to be dead, I blew air (40psi) thru the intake line on the IP and heard a gurgling noise, put new fuel lines on cranked the engine and then with an injector cracked and nothing. I had pressure at the return line at the fuel filter after cranking it and had fuel spray out at the bleed...
I cracked the injector and cranked it for 20 secs til the ground started to smoke just a bit and no fuel and I have power to the IP and can here it click when I touch it to the connector.. I had been driving for about 2 weeks after the 2200 mile trip putting on 110 miles a day. I pumped clear...
How much pressure should come from the lift pump? Chilton manual is useless and only mentions the 350 diesel briefly... like four sentences, and I couldn't get the TM to work on my puter. I am getting no fuel at the injectors when cracked open.
OK I did this step by step, took all of 2 minutes to accomplish I could even look thru the check ball and see daylight before i blew it out, got the result you said I would, fuel squirting out, except it still is not firing off... Now what?
The vehicle ran like a champ, then over over the course of a day began to take longer to crank, now it turns over but just won't start.
Hopefully it's not the fuel injection pump and something simple.
I'm happy to pay someone in the are to come take a look at it in the Austin area.
My...

Welcome to SS I am new here too and I own a 1009 that had an original 36,000 when I bought it and it shows... but all the years of sitting have taken a toll on it. I got lots of corroded electrical connections, a few deteriorated vacuum lines and floorboard rust thru, just from sitting. So don't...
I gave a couple short burst of ether... I know it ain't good on em but I needed to see if it was getting any fire and it didn't even remotely act like it was gonna fire off. So now what? injection pump or solenoid? and yes there is power to the IP.
OK heres the dealio... I am getting fuel all the way to the injector pump. when I cycle the key i can hear the GP controller but not the IP.. it should click 1 time? I cracked an injector open but didn't see any fuel come out. so when the wife comes back I will have her turn on the key and I...
