    Mighty Mite Questions

I do know that the cylinders are electroplated. The plating likes to peel off. When that happens, the engine needs to come apart and be re plated. Get a bore scope and inspect the cylinders. Don't have a clue as to how expensive/hard to find the parts are. We have one at the Museum, but it is...

M920 tach cable issue, wiring, throttle linkage springs, picture request

There are two sizes of tach drives, The small one is the most common, the large one is what is used on the military pumps. Take the new and old pump to a pump shop and they can swap them

Deuce will not start after several years of sitting

Get out a DVOM and check voltage at the starter solenoid when the button is pushed, check grounds, visually inspect it for damage from critters, they seem to like the taste of wire insulation!. Don't go throwing parts at things, trouble shoot it.

Can I hijack? Why is it that I don't see all of the "conversations" in the little envelope? I need to go to e-mail and look at it that way. Example, a long, many reply conversation with wgtactical. It is not under the envelope, need to go to my e-mail notification to see it or reply to it.

    More Tracked stuff!

Well, did the fp today, another awesome kit from Then and Now. Again, took no pictures other than the finished product and the junk I took out of it. It lit and moved under its own power for the first time in about 20 years. It's been parked close to some pine trees so the engine compartment has...

Will scout II springs fit on an M37

It would most likely be easier and have a better outcome if you removed the springs and took them to someplace near you that rebuilds them. The ride will be better, new bushings. If you put your location in with a city/state....like you are supposed to do....I could help you find that someplace...

    More Tracked stuff!

And of course, after the carburetor is installed and actually pumping fuel, the fuel pump decides to take a crap. Parts on order from Then and Now, did that early this morning, hopefully I'll have parts next Tuesday. Both the carburetor bowl and the fuel filter were filled with varnish. The...

    More Tracked stuff!

Had a chance to think with it yesterday. We ordered a carb kit from Daytona parts in Florida. It got here Monday. Rebuilt the carburetor, as usual did not take before pictures but I did get some after it was cleaned up in parts pictures and a final assembled product. This is a funky carburetor...
