Another thing that can cause noise is the check valve in the wet tank. If you remove the discharge line at the compressor after pressure is built, engine off, the only air that should come out is what is in the line. If the tank pressure comes back out the discharge line, drains the tank, the...
Can't find THAT manual either! I must have put them all somewhere where they would be safe. They are safe all right, safe from me ever seeing or using them again!
IIRC, TDC the engine and align the mark, it is just a line, on the comp drive gear with the notch in the front housing on the...
Clint is correct, the fan set ups on the coaches are a 4 fan configuration that covers the complete core. It will pull small children and animals into the radiator when they are fully on, did I mention they are variable speed?
On early trucks, with 5 to 7 blade fans, it was not uncommon to see...
It means there needs to have the correct auto lash screws installed. I'm sure it does, looks like the engine left ReCon with the brakes installed...everything is painted the same.
Ignition might be incorrect, it is not the military waterproof type. Also, check the steering for play, you can get repair kits for the steering but the sector gear and shaft are getting hard to find.
^^^ what he said. Use brake cleaner and spray into every hole, you need to see the fluid coming out the other end of the passage. I've seen mixture adjustment screw tips broken off in the passages, that can really mess with you. Also, a set of air brush cleaning prushes work wonders on carbureators.
So can all electric. Most all of the newer transit busses are electric fan only. They do a great job and eliminate the old giant hydraulic pumps needed to turn the fan motors and decrease parasitic load. On the dyno, when the hydraulic fans locked up, there was a noticable HP drop, IIRC right...
If I remember correctly, what Clint said is incorrect. A Bosch pump when it shuts off goes to zero delivery. I think I remember it being past the idle setting. And I think I remember the rack being held at 0 delivery by a magnet inside. Detroit Diesel 2-stroke start at full fuel. You might have...
Take it off and bring it to a reputable ADS shop. 1) WARRANTY, 2) experience and knowing when a part is FUBAR, 3) ever seen an engine that someone that had tried to fix a pump by themselves? I have, a few times, was kinda cool to look through it! 4) right the first time, if taken to a good shop...
This is what you need, If it were me, I would turn the governor around to match the way it sits on the old engine. Call if you need help, it takes 5 mins.

If you go to BPS truck parts in Irwindale, they probably have it. OR, leave it open when...
If gauges worked before, no reason to change them. The switches/sensors from the old engine will be fine in the new engine, the gauges will read correctly.....well, as correct as military gauges read. Swap old to new engine parts.
