LMC Truck Parts is a good source.
I found a local body shop that will order what I need, that way I save on shipping costs because they have parts delivered daily.

Hi Jack,
Sorry for the delay in reply.
The external thread size is 9/16"-18 and the stud measures 1" in length from the winch case. The lock washer is a internal-tooth style, about .060" thick with a standard nut.
I didn't want to remove the stud from my winch to get the internal thread pitch...
I like the color combination. Can you post a picture of the dash stickers? I will be painting my interior soon and would like to see the proper layout locations.
Thanks,
Bert
I would check the base gasket 1st. Here is a picture of the correct gasket from the G741 site (2nd from the left is the correct one).
I would also set the timing closer to 4* BTDC with a timing light as a starting point. Did you set the float height at 5/64" and no lower as a starting point...
Bruce,
What is the diameter of the rod?
How far down from the inside of the bend is the cotter pin hole?
Are both of the bends on a 90* angle?
I would like a closeup of the spring clip and diamensions.
Thanks,
Bert
Hey Bruce,
Since you seem to have the rod removed from your truck that is used to hold the hood up all of the way, could you measure up that part and share the info with me (us)?
Bert
Rusty,
Sorry for side tracking your thread.
DH,
Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse.." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse.."
This example says it all.
