    P2P Link Broken

I'm still trying to figure out what the P2P is. All these years and I've never needed it.

    Sherpa winch vs PTO winch

Random thoughts in no particular order. Let's see. PTO can run all day long without overheating. The truck however, needs to run as well. Yes, you can operate the truck in gear. Interestingly, first gear low range and low gear on the winch net about the same speed. In other words, the line...

    m1008 front differential sounding board

If it were my money and I used the truck as you describe, I'd get a winch. That and quality tires should get you deep in the weeds and back home. Powr lock is a 4 spider version of a Trac Lock.

    m1008 front differential sounding board

Question, how much snow do you get in your part of VA? I live in the mountains of N GA. Plenty of off camber slopes including my driveway. I can't imagine trying to get up it with lockers for and aft. It's funny enough to watch it dogtrack up the hill. I think Trac Lock or Powerlock would be...

    Dually Conversion (For looks)

That could be done as well. At that point I'd keep the M1028A2/3 as long as it was a solid truck. I have a thing for the chassis cab rears. While its still a dually, not a dually truck but all I have here is the SECM which already has one and the ambulance which, if it doesn't sell, will get one!

    Dually Conversion (For looks)

A decent one will set you back $7500. Basket cases usually sell quick at $3000. Problem is that there aren't many to choose from. If I were to set out to build a CUCV pickup into a dually, I'd start with front rotors. There are any folks in the 4x4 world willing to trade rotors/hubs. Likely...

    re-wiring M1031 & have a few questions

Guess I missed the first link and probably better anyways. Pirate is an intolerable collection of folks that know everything except how much they don't know.

    Dually Conversion (For looks)

Have you priced an M1028A2 or M1028A3? Awful lot of money to do a swap. I did my shop truck in my avatar for around $250. $150 for front rotors and $100 for the chassis cab rear. Swapped over the Detroit NoSPIN.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Paint piercing washers are a plus too.

    re-wiring M1031 & have a few questions

While I can't help with your questions, I'm interested in seeing how you mounted the cab.

What did you do to your trailer today.

We used to buy M105 trailers in the $90 to $150 range all the time. Went to a sale at MCLB Albany one time and 75% of the depot overhauled 105s went for the minimum bid of $90. There were several hundred.

What did you do to your trailer today.

I might know who that is. If it is, I could store the trailer until we could get it to you.

    M1009 not holding fuel prime

Thanks Joseph. I have the filter setup (for years) so it's a no cost thing to install. I feared a pump as well so it this doesn't help, I'll look towards getting my IP remanned.

    M1009 not holding fuel prime

I think I'm in a similar situation. I suspected glow plugs since my system was feeding them power. I replaced 7 (#8 might break, I'll fix it later). Still takes quite a bit of cranking and it shouldn't. Replacing my fuel filter assy with one of the Stand yes Gimpy was selling. Hoping for the best.

recent problem with Wolverine Technologies LLC

It's more likely from the public flogging. I hope they make this right and learn from it.

M1008 Ujoint at wheel, front axle

I bought my Spicer's at the beginning of Nov and paid $45 eat on eBay shipped.

M1028 Tire Pressure with BFG AT KO2

I have 255/85R16 KOs and they will dry rot before I wear them out. I run them at 65 but they are on a heavy ambulance. Also running 7" wide Fard rims.

SPL55-4X is what I bought. Hope they are right, need to install them soon.

    NP208 Transfer Case knowledge base

So, I was researching last night and stumbled on this thread at Ramcharger Central. https://ramchargercentral.com/vehicle-help/nv4500-to-np208-issue/ I immediately went looking for pics of a 241 to compare. I've attached both. Feeling slightly defeated, I went out today to fiddle with it...
