I got the new yoke for the front axle. All done now. When I dumped the old case out of the truck, it snagged the unhooked transfer case plug and ripped it off. I installed new but the 4wd light doesn't work. Need to check switch on case then if it's okay, start pulling wire.
Feel free to send me a PM. I didn't work for them, rather, their business was within Port Everglades jurisdiction where I worked. I would go out there and shoot the bull with the gang. As far as inner workings of the trucks, I have no idea. I got the red carpet tour of truck 1 and watched the...
I know the origin of all the pics, I took them. All of my pics were taken on the same day. The completed truck and then other cab, nose and tac box. Those parts were completed into a second truck. I was literally in the shop 3 days a week. The trucks from Clark in WV were all part of a giant...
Welcome aboard Sir. That is an Interesting truck for sure. There was more than one though. All of these pics were taken on the same day. I'll say though, their glass man made some phenominal one way bulletproof glass.
Just to piggyback of Rick a little. We have 3 GB40 jump packs here. 2 of them easily starts a CUCV. I just started the M1010 for the first time in weeks. I've owned the truck since 2013 and the red top Optima have been in there the whole time. They owe me nothing.
I'm going to go with the loose driveshaft theory. Attached is a pic of the front output yoke flange. 2 of the bolts are missing and there is not a single thread damaged. The other 2 are sheared off. I am surmising that it weakened the other 2 bolt until they sheared off. Despite the Carnage...
Well, there's a story about that. I was all ready to put the jigsaw puzzle together when I realized that the entire section of transfer case that housed the shift mechanism was gone. I mean it's no where to be found. I can't make one of those out of JB.
I wish I had saved pics but alas I didn't. There were a couple of folks who have done this in the past. One, if I recall, added drink holders to the back so when folded down, had a place for drinks.
I am happy to report that the replacement transfer case is in and all is almost well again. No front driveshaft yet. I have some yoke damage so a new one will be needed. I'm hoping I can swap it out without having to redo the crush sleeve.
I've never been a big fan of the 1101/1102 trailers. Too short and wide. Your, however, puts new light on the subject. I hope that the topper will be included in the build. I've always used steel utility toppers on my 101 trailer. That one with panel doors takes it a step further. What a great...
Well, here's the Sidewinder. Solenoid pack isn't attached or even in the house. Several views give you an idea of how it's built. The arm on the top of the drum disengages it for freewheel. There were different kits that ran that up through the core support. Hope the pics give you an idea of...
Greetings folks. I have no affiliation with this company but really like this product.
The GB 40 is a compact jump box. There are several reviews of these on YouTube but I wanted to add the MV angle.
Here at the house, we have 3. Wife, myself and my one driving son.
I was recently greeted...
I wish I could find the driveshaft to confirm that Rick. When yours failed, did the driveshaft remain with the truck? Any sheared or broken bolts at the yoke? Any floor pan damage?
