I’ll admit that I once mistakenly bought an 813. Got a great deal on it, and quickly figured out why. Now it’s a parts doner for my 803, and the engine will be used to power a hydraulic pump for another project, just need to get the correct flywheel. I’m willing to bet those go back to...
Also had to get commercial vehicle insurance due to scale weight above 12000#. Could not find a standard auto policy to cover it. Even after arguing it was for non commercial use. Wish you the best of luck, hopefully some more green iron is in your future, or perhaps tan.
applies to all vehicles. If above 26001 and not exempted (rv, farm, military, police, fire) it requires a Cdl.
As as far as tractor having to be on the title, I would try to title it as a truck. My M1078 is titled as a commercial, not for commercial use truck. This is also how I am not...
A work around is to convert it and license it as an RV. Can’t be a slide in either, has to be permanently altered with the rv requirements to be an RV.
Ha!! To be honest I can't wait to pass a convoy in mine and see the confused looks. Probably one of the best upgrades I have done so far, besides the locker, that comes in handy as well. G load rating MVT has a max speed of 81 at 95psi. The L load range is 68 at 130psi. FYI I find my...
Maybe a radiator flush, and a good wash down of the fins would help. Remember when your running on the highway your pretty high in the rpm range helping to build heat. Also you could pull the grill off to see if more air to the radiator helps. Maybe the thermostat isn't opening all the way...
I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but you don't want to do 70mph for a whole lot of reasons. First the truck was spec'ed to do 55mph as that max convoy speed. Second your tires are not rated for that speed, meaning that they will heat up beyond what they are capable of and break down...
I'd check everything in the system. From jacking up the front to see no load conditions with engine off and engine running. It shouldn't wander that much without steering feedback. Maybe your wheel u-joints from the steering wheel to box are shot. My truck drives like a dream.
