Alum. matching door latch handle and window crank (NOT military match)

The 16-spline shaft in that diameter is a common standard, so there will be literally hundreds of other vehicles' door handles that fit it. (There are a few other common sizes too, that won't fit.)

[solved] NOCO Genius4 installation - reliable starting now (howto)

I'm taking it you haven't looked into them at all. It's prominently featured in all their marketing and descriptions. This picture fills the whole browser window on their site. https://no.co/gen4 "Fully submersible. 100% completely sealed waterproof on-board battery charger. Designed to...

[solved] NOCO Genius4 installation - reliable starting now (howto)

Good write up. Just for another option, this is how I mounted mine.

    LMTV throttle cable

Has anyone had a chance to measure this? Thanks!

Cooling fan won't shut off except in 4x4

I don't think that's how it works, but it should be pretty easy to see from the wiring diagrams in the back of the TM.

    LMTV throttle cable

I checked just the cable, and it's very gritty sliding in the sheath. Hopefully, someone will have one out of their truck that can grab some dimensions.

M-1083 just front tires spin in mud not rear

Open differentials apply the power to the wheel with the least traction. So on a single axle, it goes to the wheel that is loose, not the one with traction. If you put another open differential in between the two axles, it too sends the power to the output (the axle) with the least traction...

    Is Grigsby Trucks Someone Here?

Grigsby is on here. He has PM'd me before, but I deleted all my old PMs because my box was full, so I don't remember his username.

    Cab Tilt Lock Light

Many/most don't even have a bulb populated in that spot. In either case, 100% it does nothing currently. There is no wiring going to those pins of the connector. There is no mystery to be solved here, no "for all we know it may already do something". You can wire something up to it if you'd...

    Cab Tilt Lock Light

100%, it does nothing. There is no light behind it, and no manual or pressure switch in the latch or line.

Got my Light Material Handling Crane (LMHC) today!

The M1078 truck beds have the receiver holes in all four corners of the bed, from the factory. The M1082 trailers do not have the holes.

    Stewart and Stephenson for landscaping?

Not sure. USMC has 7-ton trucks. Otherwise, the next size truck up is a HEMTT, which is a 10 ton truck, a big jump in terms of size, parts availability, ridiculousness. You could get an M1070 HET, and put a dump truck bed on it... there was recently one on eBay like that. The design of...

    Stewart and Stephenson for landscaping?

FMTVs don't have a separate off-road and on-road cargo capacity rating, like the older trucks do. So 5 tons is all you get out of an M1083. You can put a trailer on it, and get another 5 tons. These trucks are awfully high bed-height, if you don't need the offroad capabilities. They are head...

    M1078 GVWR Over the Road

Not true. The second post in this thread shows you how to calculate the answer. Not anywhere close to 48k.

    1078 fording fan switch issue

First, the way the fan works is a little counter-intuitive. When the truck is off (no air pressure), the fan is engaged, by default. When you turn the truck on, the fan clutch switch in the upper radiator tube is a Normally Closed circuit, which turns on a solenoid and allows air pressure to...

Ball joints still available for LMTV's ?

Should be. They are a standard RF-611 Meritor axle.

    Ether start in the FMTV

Looking at the two, it sure looks like the FMTV has a QuickStart system, not a ZeroStart brand system. (It's also possible it's neither.)

Got my Light Material Handling Crane (LMHC) today!

You can see the handle attached to the "waist" joint of the crane. The shaft to the permanently-attached ratcheting head of the handle sticks out about 8", and then the grip on the end of the handle sticks out about another 4". So roughly, the tip of the handle grip is protruding into the bed...

Mystery Button on FMTV Drivers Door

The bag I saw had a wide metal clip on the back, that hooked over the metal "towel rack" on the door. There may be more than one type of bag too, as the one I saw was made of a rubberized fabric, similar to the cargo cover, not the canvas in these pictures.
