Dunno if there's a step-by-step anywhere, as there are so many variables involved and with custom projects like these...

Sure you can. You just might have to take some of that length out of the rear section too, whatever works best to put the wheelwells wherever you need them to be.

Really like that spare tire carrier setup behind the cab. Planning on doing something very similar with mine. Think maybe with an 8ft bed though. How much did you shorten yours, and what's the wheelbase?
