Legal Issues that could effect all MV Owners

Think you're taking the wrong tact 73m819. Maybe focus a little more on the upside, explaining why this is important and emphasizing the implications, but insulting people isn't the best way to get support we need. Spread the good word.

Can 2 m923 trucks without tarp & bows fit on one transport trailer?

Just bought an M270A1. Think we might be able to add a third axle to distribute the weight well enough to be legal in CA? Maybe something like a tag-axle that we could raise/lower?

    Wrecker Front Winch

Actually just bought an M936A2, but it's not running so haven't had a chance to mess with it yet. Figured that a level-wind / auto-tensioner setup would be an essential part of that plan, and would obviously result in that much more additional drag. Was looking at the HET's, how they have those...

    Wrecker Front Winch

Not a bolt-on, but it's been done and details are on this site somewhere. There are concerns about overloading the front axle, among other things. I've been thinking about center-mounting winches on my deuce and our 5-tons and it doesn't seem like it would be too complicated. Run the cable to...

    M35A2 wheel spacers

I've got a set of five of those wheels. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Brand New MRAPS Being Scrapped - A Sad Day

This is not the place to share those kind 'facts'. Please stop posting political stuff here. You're going to get this thread closed/deleted.

Can 2 m923 trucks without tarp & bows fit on one transport trailer?

Thanks guys. Wasn't sure about those tow capacities, seeing as how conservatively most of this military stuff is rated.

need help identifying electrical/comm stuff in S250 shelter

Roger that. Will have to take a look at how it's wired to see if it might be useful as a battery isolator switch or something. Thanks! So could I use one of these to charge a battery bank with shore-power then? Only wish it could handle a little more input, but still better than nothing.

Can 2 m923 trucks without tarp & bows fit on one transport trailer?

What should a fella expect to spend on a trailer that meet those specs? And could an M939-series tractor pull a load like that?

need help identifying electrical/comm stuff in S250 shelter

Got your PM, thanks. Won't get rid of anything before talking to you about anything you might want/need. What else can you guys tell me about those power supplies? Curious as to their purpose and capacities. Absolutely. Will take a pic next time I go over to the yard. Glad I asked about the AC...

saving military communications gear at hamfests

Just started this thread about the gear in my S250 shelter. Have no idea what most of it is. Please let me know if you see anything precious in there.

need help identifying electrical/comm stuff in S250 shelter

Bought an S250 shelter a while ago from a SS member, intending to turn it into a camper, but recently purchased another S250 shelter that I'm going to use instead. This one has a ton of electrical & communication stuff in it, and I don't need any of it. Was thinking I might want to use the air...

Bobbed M931 almost done, Pics soon! A few questions please...

These guys are right to advise you to reconsider those lift-blocks. Looks dangerous.

    bobbing a deuce

Welcome. There's a search window in the upper right-hand corner. Try entering some key words and you can find answers to almost any deuce-related question you might come up with. Dunno if there's a step-by-step anywhere, as there are so many variables involved and with custom projects like these...

    The Official m101-series-bed-on-a-pickup-truck pics thread

Sure you can. You just might have to take some of that length out of the rear section too, whatever works best to put the wheelwells wherever you need them to be.

Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

Really like that spare tire carrier setup behind the cab. Planning on doing something very similar with mine. Think maybe with an 8ft bed though. How much did you shorten yours, and what's the wheelbase?

Will this ring fit over a 5 ton pintle coupler?

I've used one of those before, on a trailer tongue that I pulled behind a deuce.

    The Official m101-series-bed-on-a-pickup-truck pics thread

If searching on SS doesn't work, google is only a click away, and if you enter your search words and then site:steelsoldiers.com, it will only show results from this website/forum. When I entered 'M101A2 M101A3 width', this was the first result...
