Thanks for the info. From what I'm reading, the bed and all its bits are the same on the truck and trailer.
There is a mess of poles and some straps in Agazza's trailer bed, just waiting for a few dry minutes to sort it out. Hopefully all there. If not, then I have ideas on where to find...
Glad to get it for you, it was an enjoyable trip. You did a lot for us before you moved away, so it's nice to be able to do something in return. We miss y'all around here!
As soon as the monsoon lets up, I'll get the tarp out of the bed and look it over. It looks pretty manky, but that may...
Still working on it. They literally took it down to component pieces to rework/refinish each one, then start putting it back together. Superior workmanship. Last time I saw it, the hull was starting to be reassembled in a large workshop area. It will be operable when they get done.
Cheers
Done!
The trailer is now safely sitting at my place. It looks complete and in great shape. Has the ladder in a rack underneath, and the tarp and bows in the bed. Even came with a bird nest (unoccupied).
This was the smoothest, most drama free, recovery I have ever done. If it hadn't been...
Something to keep in mind to help with the confusion while you are reading - the shop body versions (M109, M185) don't follow the same numbering. As in the shop version of an M35A2 is an M185A3/M109A3. The shop version of the M35A3 is an M109A4.
Cheers
They are too wide for the stock rims. Others have done it, I just wouldn't want to be in their liability position. Your insurance carrier would likely take interest in the mismatch. Just sayin....
Cheers
Look at aviation headsets/intercoms, too. I have a 4-place intercom (Flightcom, I believe) that is powered by a 9-volt battery. It has plugs for radios (aircraft and music type), and one for a cell phone. I have it for flying, but found it works great in the trucks too, when I have a...
Bob, I'm thinking German (as in - anyone but Swiss) because of the bumper, turn signals, fenders, and bed all being German style. But anything is possible...
Clarification on the windshield items mentioned by tennmogger. The Swiss cab top is removable, but the frame doesn't fold, you have...
Original 404 doka's are a fairly rare beast, low production numbers, and they are desirable, so it's one of those "you gotta pay to play" scenarios.
From what I see in your picture, I wouldn't say $15k would be out of the question, depending on running condition being good. Looks like the...
I missed the Chafees! Plenty of Leopard 1's though.
And, in reviewing the thread, I failed to mention earlier that the splinter camo vehicles mentioned in post 1 were probably Swedish. We had some limited interaction with them, their border was considered a little more "friendly" and flexible...
Dave, I was originally planning to go up through Memphis, and that route, but coming up via you really only adds 100 miles to the trip. Rather than have an extra unload/load "somewhere in Joplin", I can bring it on up to you. I've done I-44 in the past, don't need to see it again. Haven't...
