Those things were $7000 back when they came out (early-mid 2000's).
You should be able to test all the actuators. As far as I know, BlueTiger is out of the sim business, but you might still find the software from the community. If not, there are some open source motion rig software packages...
It's been done that way (well, with accordion boots not a compression collar).
And while it's a very limited location and size (see last pic below), you can create a crawl-thru w/o deleting the spare or air cleaner.
Not surprising.
Yet the exact same components in the civilian unit are half that even today (at FULL retail).

I spoke with these guys a few years ago. Their prices have gone up a little but not much. But price depends on the width of the boot as well as the tunnel circumference):

I was thinking of mounting the pass thru tunnel to the frame, then booting each end...
Ah, I forgot about the bottle jack.
I upgraded mine to a 20 ton HF pneumatic (overkill). I'm lazy like that.

Looks awesome !!!
That's one of the reasons I decided to stick with the ridged A1R cab mount. I miss the "cool factor" of the air ride cab, but I really want to have a crawl thru if only for emergency and for the dog to access the cab for overwatch at night). Retrofitting to air ride was...
The basic kit is just a red box that contains the (folding) emergency roadside triangle, a lug wrench, and a gladhand hose with a tire chuck on one end. That's the most intact kit that I've ever gotten on an M1078, but there could be more to it.
The winch trucks gets a few other goodies, extra...
Silly community member. Nothing is more expensive and valuable than surplus crap sold for 2000x what the government paid for it.
THAT"S real value !!!!!!
I heard we'd have lost both wars in the sandbox had they not arrived just in the nick of time.
But I really don't see the benefit down here on the beach. Perhaps if they doubled as a cigarette lighter of something...
;)
You realize that like a $500 per light option to upgrade to those, right?
Good thing those $1000+ pair lights are totally rock-proof and never burn out (sarcasm).
It makes for a VERY solid argument to stay with filament lights or HID....vs LED.
Makes an even BETTER argument to MOVE TO WHERE...
I wish I could trouble shoot the issue. It's been going into fault since I've had the truck. And if kept running long enough, I can almost see a bit of haze in the hab. It doesn't set off any of my CO or smoke detectors but it's as if there is something being introduced in a very fine...
It was mostly vanlife hippies.
LOL
Seriously, it was a user group. And it was filled with good insight. But there were troubleshooting groups, several user groups, UK groups, all solely for the little diesel heaters. I'm sure at least one is vender-owned.
The group I was a member of was...
I might be tempted to try them over dumping a foreign substance into the tire (and CTIS system). I've heard horror stories of antifreeze gumming up the works or airsoft pellet's melting due to oils getting into the air system, etc. I can only imagine the fun involved in tearing apart the...
