    Beauregard Intel

That middle dump truck in the last photo sold a couple of weeks ago for about 9K. Much more than I would have paid - but then, I'm not looking for a dump. Hey, DIL, how did you get access on a weekend? Just ask?

    Practical uses for a Deuce

Kendelrio - she sure is beautiful. Oh, the truck is nice, too.

    M919 concrete truck pics

Actually, the final high bid on that LA truck was $22,500. I looked at it, and it was in near new condition on the outside.

    For Louisiana M/V owners

I was debating whether to get the SF-97 for the 2 M101 trailers I just bought, but I guess I need that to document transfer from the gov't to GL. It looks like the titling costs will be about $100 for a trailer that GL invoiced me for $175.

Thanks Kendelrio, Has anyone tried to register a trailer in LA? Same process?

Stock Deuce..Anyone haul a 12k load on regular basis?

Traveling UP a long steep gravel drive, it's not the climbing with a 15,000 lb load, nor the stopping that is a problem, it's what happens if you have to stop and get out on the upgrade. I wouldn't trust the emergency brake, and if the drive is steep enough, the wheel chocks may not help. I...

Stock Deuce..Anyone haul a 12k load on regular basis?

That weight is like carrying another Deuce in the back. I'd hate to loose my brakes, or break down while going up that "steep...rough...windy...gravel" drive. That might be a wild ride backwards. On flat ground, it might be a different story. I'd make more trips carrying 600 gallons, which...

    New guy from Louisiana

A meet sounds good to me, but I don't have any green iron to show off yet. I also just realized I'm still the FNG. Kenobi joined last month.

Here we go long distance deuce recovery

That's about a 5000 mi round trip Wow, You'll spend more on fuel than you did on the truck. And here I was not wanting to drive a puny 2000 miles to get one of the 50 Camp Dodge, IA trucks. Good luck!

Just another new guy from LA

Thanks for the welcome From my lurking, I knew this was a good group. I had to sell one of my (4-legged) mules to buy the two M101s, and only got 1/2 of what I paid 15 months ago. Horses and cows are dirt cheap now, but you still have to feed them. Once you have your Deuce, there is no...

Just another new guy from LA

That's LA, not L.A., I live about 45 min. north of Baton Rouge on the MS/LA line. I've been lurking a couple of years, and just recently joined when I decided to stop dreaming and buy some old militiary iron from GL. I've been collecting M1 Garands and Mausers, but now need some rolling stock...
