I bought 2 of those pumps last week, but am fighting my cc for payment. If I get it straightened out, I'll pick mine up around next Wed. If so, I'll pick yours up also and can give it to Timntrucks later. I'll PM you if I actually do get to Ft Polk.
I finally got to the computer to post more photos, and found others ahead of me:oops: Like Papabear, I'll try not to post repeats. I want to add my many thanks to Tim and Pam, and to say I had a great time and met many new friends. Doug.
Hey Wreckerman - I hope you've filled my shopping list!!:-D
I'm about 70 miles away, but don't have tags yet for my dueces so I'll
be day-tripping in my 96 Powerstroke. I'll be there this afternoon and
again Sat. I don't know about Sunday since I'm flying to Seattle very
early Monday morning...
It's funny how the little things can mean so much.
That spring couldn't have broken on the interstate where you could have put it in neutral, killed the engine and drifted to the shoulder.....NOOOOO, it has to break in the city.
Glad you made it safely!!
The ones I've seen on GL (very small sample size) were painted in single color green and often somewhat more rusty than inland dueces. Sometimes (maybe always?) they have US NAVY on the doors and/or tailgate.
I picked up one M105 at Redstone last week, and two at Camp Shelby this week. To help lower wind resistance, I remove the cover (duh), pull off the front and rear stakes and drop the tailgate. Then I run the magnetic lights to the back of the bed. I've also found that all the trailer tires...
If Wreckerman can't make it, I'm picking up a M105 trailer from Redstone Thursday morning, going by the Civilian Marksmanship South Store in Anniston in the afternoon to pickup some more M1 Garands and ammo, and will pass through B'ham that afternoon. I'll also be at the LA Rally.
Darrell was of immense help to me in documenting the GL damage to two deuces I bought at Redstone, since I'm 450 miles away. GL actually approved the claim, thanks to his legwork. Unfortunately, at the time, he didn't have a towbar to tow my brake-less dueces offsite. If I ever feel that...
If we bring MREs for everyone, we won't need no stinkin' porta-potties!! There is proably enough MREs along the Gulf Coast to feed Ethiopia for a week.
I'll ice down some watermelons if no one has spoken for them yet- do your ciphering and let me know how many we need.
Since my green...
Problems I've personally had/seen on GL vehicle auctions in only the last three months:
GL description said dead batteries - during preview I saw that the truck had NO batteries
Two of the 5 trucks I've bought had NO BRAKES. Only one of those two could be partially fixed by just adding fluid...
Hey Bryan, It was great meeting your beautiful family. Chris is a lovely, keeper wife who said Bryan could get a Deuce for Father's Day. Welcome to the CARC side - there is no return. Like I said, I hate to sell her, but she is too nice for farm work.
As an aside, does anyone know offhand...
I had to use a sledge on mine to break it loose. Thought I would damage it, but that steel is hard.
My last trip to Shelby, I bought the crew pizza for lunch. CPO Seawright, Tony and the others have really been helpful, even though they were shorthanded. I should say were, since some of...
