Welcome aboard.
With that flapper exhaust stack, I believe it is an Air Force Deuce. I understand that they aren't beat up as bad in general as the army trucks. I have one similar to that one (VIN is only 8 digits away) and it is in great shape and well maintained.

I've had 5 EUCs approved, and picked up 4 of the lots, but only received one DLA letter. But then, I live so far out in the boonies, we just got word that Truman won the election.
Probably the base oil for most of the brands are made by one or other of the big guys, but it is the additive packages that are different. It's good to know the Walmart brand is also compatible.
I've been checking out the different sources of GL-5 and called the technical folks for the...
Oh Mighty One!
I picked up my first Deuce yesterday from Camp Shelby, MS. I think is is a 1982 model, and it has a flapper on the straight exhaust stack

I have been bitten bad by the Deuce bug. I'm waiting on EUCs for trucks waiting at Shelby and Redstone. Does anyone have a tow bar I can rent or buy from Houston to Mobile to Jackson,MS?
I live north of Baton Rouge and travel frequently along the Gulf Coast from Houston to Laurel, MS. I'm...
Did the double gasket deal on my wife's Toyota truck about 25 years ago. When the red light came one, my wife thought she could reach the next exit on the interstate. She didn't make it, and a rebuilt engine cost me $1200 in 1985 dollars. That was her first day on the new job, too.
She...
I previewed them (this was Camp Shelby, not Redstone). Flipped the switch, and if the air buzzer worked, I got in and pushed the starter. Only 2 of the 10 or so I checked out actually started. Several didn't even buzz. At Shelby, you can only preview with an appointment, and the GL person...
They finally called me back, and my two trucks are on site. Now just waiting on EUC approval.
I also just won two M109 and one M35a2 trucks at Shelby today. Maybe I can use one of them to tow my two Redestone deuces home. One of them starts and has good brake pedal pressure, the others...
I'm frustrated looking for options to get mine home
I'm a new member, but been lurking as a guest since I read Sarge's Katrina story several years ago. Sarge, You're just a good man, and the drinks are on me when we meet.
Anyway, I won my first two deuces last week - 4107/3547 and...
Nope, always low bidder so far. There seem to be a lot of trucks in the lot with no lot numbers assigned yet, so I'm hoping I'll get lucky someday if they don't ship them to Redstone.
My first EUC
Auction ended 2/26
Submitted EUC with B&W DL copy on 2/27 by email to eucinfo@govliquidation.com
Didn't hear anything, so on 5th day (3/4), got on GL chat to find status - they couldn't find it, so forwarded email directly to Heidi (lovely lady), who forwarded it onto the EUC...
BKubu,
I also just won a M105 trailer, and today bought a 10-ton Reese pintle hook from Tractor Supply. I've heard of some folks here not having their trailer ring fit their hook. Is the 15-ton hook larger, or is the 10-ton hook OK?
Nice trucks. I wish I had a deuce when I was at VaTech 40 years ago. Those dirt mountain roads still call to me. Would have made a great party truck, too. Nice trucks!
