    slant back gas struts

Got these from Eastern and they're a little rough. I don't know if they will work but I will give them a shot. These were $50 plus shipping

    IbisTek Tire Retainer (Carrier)

Thank you all for the guidance. Here is the rim and tire that would be loaded onto the carrier. Do we think there would be clearance to lower the tire for use or even get it on?

Sound deadening and custom interior install project

I love the enthusiasm and the thread. As I also have the m1045a2 I'd like to know more as to what you did with the turret and what components you used.

    IbisTek Tire Retainer (Carrier)

Looking at the bolts on the face of these things it doesn't look promising for aftermarket wheels. I suppose it could be modified like anything else.

    IbisTek Tire Retainer (Carrier)

Does anyone know if the IbisTek tire retainer will accommodate an after market wheel provided the bore size is similar? Are there any limitations with this tire carrier working with a larger tire size (40 in)?

    Are "HMMWVS hand made"

Is it possible this part was made for an H1 Hummer and not a HMMWV? The H1 comes with factory rocker panels that look like the attached image. I would bet with the rocker panel installed the angles would line up. Just my .02 after looking at your pics.

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

It wasn't in when troubleshooting. I just put it back in today once I thought the issue was resolved. It wasn't so I yanked it back out to eliminate it as a variable.

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

Ok, I removed the guard dog security device and rechecked the leads to the ignition. Added some dielectric grease and... Viola!!!! The truck is now working!!!!! Thank you RW, Papakab, and DredNot for helping me get this truck running again!!!! I will order the NSS and install it once it arrives.

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

Made this wire and connected it to both of the 14 wires. The truck started as soon as the ignition switch was in the run position. It repeatedly attempted to start even though it was already started. I pulled the battery connection so as not to damage the starter or the ESS as that was the only...

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

Yes, I see two wires labeled 14. So there are two 14 wires and one 40 wire. So the two 14 wires need to be connected. Got it. I also need to see what 40 runs to.

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

Welp, safe to say I have found the root of the problem. This wasn't readily visible until I walked it all the way back. Nor was the extent of the damage to the NSS. Here's the 14A connector to the NSS. Burned through completely. Wire 40 and another which I cannot ascertain it's number are also...

Starter bolt backed out and fried the starter

I have replaced the ignition start switch and now have voltage coming out of 14A when I place the switch in the run position but still no start. Now to examine and/or replace the neutral start switch. Hopefully that's the issue.
