I would go ballistic if someone cut up one of my trucks! I had several railroad wheels and metal fuel cans stolen once. I went to all the local scrapyards with flyers offering a $100 reward. Never heard anything.
I really hope you find the truck. Someone else on here had one stolen and the...
Depends. How worn are they now? Will you be loading the truck down with a trailer? I had an 818 and a military tanker. The tanker had brand new ndcc tires, and they all failed (large sections of tread) in short order under load at 50mph. I went through 3 sets on the m818 over the course of 4...
Yes, they did come with screw tops. Great for young 'engineering' projects. I have seen them for sale within the past year, but they are no longer widely available. I don't remember where I saw them but I believe it was an independent hardware store. They even still had new spotlights that...
My friend is somewhat high in the department, and had asked me long before what it would take for me to help out. I told him-
I get deputized and only I drive.
I get to say if we go or don't into an area.
I get to fill up at the county pumps before, during, and after so I go home on a full...
I guarantee I would have turned several 3208's into decent boat anchors when I hauled 52 loads of 80k rail and concrete ties and then 74k loads of WVO on 500 mile trips each week for 4 months. The NHC 250 might be gutless, but it will give you every ounce of that gutless power, 24/7 365...
You can get david clark headsets pretty reasonable, and a box with jacks, and input and output connections. Pilots in small aircraft use them. Real easy to find and can be had cheap if the owner is upgrading. Real nice to hook up a jack plug to listen to music or connect your phone. The one I...
I was contacted by a friend of mine who is in the sheriffs department of the neighboring county diring our flooding here. They really needed extraction vehilcles. They got their mrap stuck. I told him I would have gladly done it but by that time I knew it was not safe for me to get over there...
Got in about 1610. Bella ran great on the way back, zero issues with the truck. The trailer however lost the tread off a tire but still held air... got me home thats the main thing.
JP has me on the towbar. We have to stop for fuel so that will be fun... ETA approx 2100. Sad part is I will arrive .1 second before my truck does...
Desperately need a deuce head gasket, new style. If no one can bring me one I will have one shipped in. I will be changing a leaking head gasket at the rally a la Rayzer.
