Towing a commercial trailer with an M-series 5-Ton

There are many LEDs that are multi voltage. I have a couple of the adapter boxes you are thinking of. They work off resistance so as long as the trailer is non led it works fine.

Towing a commercial trailer with an M-series 5-Ton

I also have a JD450 crawler loader. I have pulled it within a 40 mile radius with a deuce. Trailer has air brakes and deuce was loaded with crushed concrete. She did it, but wasn't fast on the hills by any means. I have a m817 that will be taking over this duty shortly. I also rarely need to...

    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

Sure wish I had the time to come hang out and admire more of the commander's skill and handywork. I guess I will have to wait till the parade. I seem to recall calling dibs on driving her in the parade this year? If Dave makes it but doesn't bring joker, I will give up the seat so he can see the...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

No fuel at the injectors indicates a bad HH.

M936A2 wrecker boom cable broke at clevis end with pics

I agree, a visual inpection isn't perfect. These are prone to internal rust because of the orientation. Water runs right down the cable to the nut. Yes good thing you had it almost set. It is no fun when things come crashing down.

    LME maintenance tent erection

If you can't use that vinal section I sure could, I have the old style tent and half the canvas I got is ruined. It is going to be awful for me to get it on there by myself. I put the frame up by myself so I can figure something out. If anyone has anymore vinyl sections free or cheap please let...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

Crack the lines at the injectors, see if fuel is making it there.

M936A2 wrecker boom cable broke at clevis end with pics

You put the nut on the cable, seperate a few of the strands and wrap them around the piece that I can't remember the name of, then insert it into the clevis, then tighten the nut. The new setup should come with instructions. This is exactly why those of us who use wreckers often even in a...

    M816 controls question

I have a complete valve assembly that was in good working order with handles. It is heavy. I would like $250 for all of it. Like Ron said, it wouldn't be too hard to fab up some handles. I would hate to sell just the handles but then again, if someone needs it to replace theres they should...

Morganton,NC to Spring Branch,TX and back

That trailer is a tire eating monster. See? Told you it wasn't the wrecker beds fault! Glad nothing else major happened and thanks again for getting my parts! And thanks to Jeepsinker for meeting you with them.

NHC250 sitting over 20years...how to go about starting?

https://youtu.be/_Xq6MmiKuqY I have started many old engines. The older they are the more easily seem to want to live again. https://youtu.be/tBmAaAd7fkM

    LME maintenance tent erection

Ah nice. I have my frame set up and got a set of canvas for it, but haven't gotten brave enough to try putting it on. One man can assemble the old style tent if he is pretty smart. Or in my case really lucky!

    Bella reborn, aka XM109A9

Yep for some reason this engine (non thick deck) got rebuilt into a LDS. It has all the LDS goodies inside. I will use the lower number thanks for the reminder. I am hoping it will hold up just fine. It did before in the 5 ton.

#2 Injector line was leaking at Hydraulic Head

Sounds like it very well could have contributed to the line. I still say a new line should fix you right up.

#2 Injector line was leaking at Hydraulic Head

If someone closer had on hand another #2 line that would be the first thing I would try. Did you remove the lines to bypass the fdc? I haven't had to bypass one before so I don't know all the steps. Smart man factoring lots of extra time. I would put my money on a broken or cracked line. Only...
