Er, I have had two m109s over the years, one for almost 9 years now, run the wheels off it, put over 40k miles on it, a lot of times loaded down and pulling a trailer, 0 issues with the stock transmission. I hope a worry about the transmission isn't the main reason for you quitting the project...
Got the heads back on the engine, haven't gotten any head bolts on yet. As I was setting the front head on the sky started to open up. I had just enough time to get the board and tarp back on it. I hate working on something like this outside...:(
Big stuff I will only bring if paid in advance!
I have a rear wrecker winch from a m543a2 wrecker- same as a m816. $400 or with a good cable and end $600
Wrecker hoist or rotation motor fits m543, m816, and m936 wreckers. Good working no leaks- $350
Wrecker control valve. Good take off didn't...
Master cylinder reinstalled. I really wanted to go with a split system but lack of time and money has pushed that mod till another time.Installed the peashooter reverse light switch to the transmission today. I hope to have it mounted back to the engine this weekend.
Alright, back from the dead! I had some free time this week, so I got the new transfer case back in. Putting a new master cylinder in shortly, then hopefully will have the cab back on tonight. I also got all the front brake lines changed out.
I will have to do some welding on the cross member...
Hi and welcome!
Which guage is air? If you are only running 30 or less oil pressure that seems a bit low to me. My well worn multi runs 90 cold and 60 hot at idle.
Also, you can't trust the milage and hour meters in any of these trucks. It is a rare thing one or all don't get swapped out at...
Ken, I have the 50 mount that Dave built for that jeep. He gave it to me to give it a good home so if you want it its yours. Funny it might wind up on the same jeep it came off of!
I know Deb and Dave will be sad to see the jeep go but they know it is going to a good home and more than likely...
I have 3 D turbos. I am going to bring one to sell only because I need a 809 front winch driveshaft but I don't have any play money right now. So either trade for a nice driveshaft or $250.
I know it is really last min, but my lodging plans fell through. Anyone have a large truck I can sleep under? Anything better than that would be appreciated as well! I am only able to stay Fri night.
I just put all new belts on my m817. I could not no matter how I tried get the 2522401 belts on. That is with the fan and radiator removed. They were just too small. I put a set of old belts on that fit but the numbers are worn/faded off. I suppose I will take the 2522401 belt back and ask for...
Is it hard to start as well? Could be sucking air. If it is hard to start, slow to drop rpms when letting off throttle, and won't run up past a point, it is most likely air leak in the fuel system.
If it just won't run over 1200rpm but otherwise fine, sounds like a fuel restriction. Switch...
