What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Off topic but- I'm ashamed of those photos coming out of LA., and to have them sent all over the world like that. I guess that just sells more papers. It must make America look like a lawless, nasty, dirty, and lazy country to the rest of the world. No way do those photos represent the vast...

    Hard Start Issue

You should check with local repair shops in your area to get rid of that fuel. We have several shops in our area that have a waste-oil furnace for heat and would love to have that fuel.

    Hard Start Issue

That jar looks like water in the fuel. You said it ran good for 6+ hours driving it in the rain on an earlier trip and later you gave it a bath "under the hood". You added 911 to the tank. That will make your fuel look cloudy if water was present. When and where did you fuel up last? You could...

    Stickers

That sticker will clean up nicely. With some WD-40 and elbow grease, that overspray will wipe right off. Try it on all the stickers, you'll be amazed. I even used it to clean the stitching groves and vinyl in the original seats. Works great with everything under the hood as well.

    M1008 Build

Save them parts, they are getting much harder to find. And yes, with a little modification you can get a CB to work with what you have. The biggest issue is not many people use CBs like they did back in the 70s. You can talk all you want but no-one's listening.

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

Looks like a M116A3 "the green one in the back" towards the bottom of the pile. That one should be lighter duty and have the surge brakes your looking for.

To doghead relay mod or delete relay all together and other electrical issues

Replace that relay and never crank the truck for so long as to kill the batteries. That's one of the reasons why the relays fail.

Everything is gone from the govplanet account.

Your account got hacked and all your items were sold on the black market to a third world country.

Squibbly's M1009 and other Questionable Projects

CUCVs had map lights? I'll have to crawl under my dash and see what I'm missing.

    M1009 Wipers

Oversized winter wiper blades could cause some speed issues as well.

Military vehicle and custom car show. Catskill mountains.

It would be a great day trip for me. If the dates are reasonable, count me in with one of my rides. If you can incorporate a swap meet I'm sure it will draw more interest.

A spray bottle filled with ammonia, an old toothbrush and some patience will clean that wheel up like new .

The 60Gs will work but you may have to change the plug wire ends or grind the spades to fit the originals

They no longer make those fittings for your ride. "been there-done that-and, bought the tee shirt". Try the product below, and no- I don't own any of their stock. I just think their products work. Phil Swift says so
