improving turning radius with winch for rear axle?

It is possible to raise the axle and chain it up in an emergency to limp home but even with disconnecting the drive shaft I don't recommend driving it around like that and certainly not with a winch or 4 holding it up. IMHO

Allison Push button shifter - vehicle specific?

In the M939 Franken trucks it is a specific Allison transmission that supports it. I want to say the 3500 model but I can't remember. My guess is that they are not swap-in replacements.

    New Truck Now What

I sense a challenge. Fitting a NHC-250 into the place where a Multi-Fuel currently resides.

    LED Safety Lights

Ok, I have mine and here is my first review. They are a soft plastic similar to rubber. They have a small magnet that would not work for putting on a truck or trailer and towing anywhere is it will fall off (more on that later). The hook on the back comes out perpendicular to the back, that...

http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?130462-Official-2014-SS-Georgia-Rally-Multimedia-SSGR14-thread&highlight=georgia+2014 Very first post. I put Schedule 40 PVC in u-bolts on the side of the 101 and then recovered the 20 foot aluminum flagpole from our rental house next door that we...

What to do after you get your HAM radio license

There are options. A temporary tower like I have on my M101A2 made out of an Aluminium flagpole. They sell antenna kits that work in attics. I'm sure there are others in the ARRL Antenna Book but it's at work right now.

What to do after you get your HAM radio license

I used this site: http://ars.nc4fb.org/online-flashcards-1.html But I don't know if it was upgraded after the last exam change. I used it in early 2014. I realize that it doesn't "teach" you anything except to take the test but after two years of formal RF and communications training and...

    M-62 Anyone?

I'd offer scrap price or less first. They still have to do a lot of work just to scrap it and you will save them time and work. Good luck in your next money pit.

    Why was post pulled ?

Like Warthog I do not know who deleted the posts but when I delete some I usually give a reason. As for free speech argument I'm growing a little tired (as are other members) about the whining. Consider that a tip for the future.
