I hear ya! I think I might just save up for a new box, and a hydro assist system, ... that would also be a good time to do my long awaited four wheel steering job too, I just cant bring myself QUITE yet to pay for a pimped out rear end with air locker and hydro steering and lockout tabs.
I ran it around this weekend at a local mud event, with no bed sides, had fun :) ... other than while I was running over a chevy 1500 I screwed up my steering somehow...if I turn right when I come back to center, the wheel... I dunno hits a tight spot???/ and wont turn any further
so at risk...
I like how the bed sides are the exact same height as the door, so it matches that body line, but for some reason I am torn between the two haha. My sister votes no bed sides, my co worker says bed sides ..... I may just have to switch out every week haha also thinking about doing step down...
GREAT!!!! then ya I'm serious I'll trade it for something else as long as its nice, The guy said it pumps? and he said he has all the paper manuals for it as well.
The guy I am now officially buying it from on saturday says it is a M35A1 Fire truck From the AirForce base in Glascow MT. ................... who wants to trade me a deuce or a 5 ton? :D
Like the title says, I have a chance to buy a 1953 fire truck deuce, the guy says it runs, but needs brake work. I think its a sprag t case... I honestly.... I dont think I want... I dunno how to say this ... if I'm going to keep a deuce stock ( I bobbed my current one and LOVE it) I dont think...
I have a very similar winch for the rear of my deuce, and I was planning on making a chain drive for it and mounting it right behind the cab, does 1st gear offer enough power to pull you out of a stick situation? I was planning on a double roller chain with whatever size sprockets I end up needing.
Thanks for pointing out this is not the proper thread I only ask since I found this thread searching for my weight so I know what winch to buy. Thank you for the input by the way, however I believe you are wrong. The two different scenarios you provided are exactly the same, if a snatch block...
Hey everyone, I hate to bring this back from the dead, but I'm looking at buying a nice electric warn winch but I come across a problem... do you think a 10,000 line pull would be stout enough? or if I buy this should I just use a snatch block as well... I guess what I'm really wondering is...
