Something to think about, you cannot just bolt a flywheel housing on....Is that what broke or the bell housing on the trans? It needs to be dialed in. If not, the flywheel housing will break at every bolt that holds it to the block. I have a tool if you need it.
I've been retired for almost a year....till no ISL powered MV. Is there still snow all over the place there? It was 90 in the dez this weekend, forgot all but 2 feeding devices, Magpul sights suck.
So, I know it moved into where it sits now, although YEARS ago, do you think 16.2 is a fair price for a piece of imported armor in the condition it is in?
Craig has one of these. I believe it is a MK1 because it has the 3 doors on the turret. It has been sitting in the same spot that it was driven into since the early 90's. From what I understand, this came from a guy that had it at someones shop for a fuel system issue. I can tell you that the...
Well, here is ANOTHER update. The tank was full of, don't even know what to call it, never seen anything like what was in there, ever. Ended up using an air chisel to remove the drain that soldier B put in extremely tight...guess they didn't want leaks? Pulled the tank inspection/access cover...
The shifter, starter and go pedal all seemed fine, but getting used to the brake on the far right took a few laps to get used to. I am surprised at how smooth the truck is. I would like to drive it on a road and see what it is like. Around the compound, it rattled and squeaked worse than my...
I looked this morning, absolutely no labels on the track. 11 of 1981 is molded into them, but no other markings anywhere. Craig says he believes they are Hodgkiss tracks
I'll look at the track tomorrow, heard that before? I installed a new set of tracks on another HT a few years ago, they were new Israeli made, don't know the Mfgr. Yes, this is a French return, '43 M16 with a quad 50 in it...still powers up too. It has a stuck valve I need to fix. It is on a...
For all you Canadian vehicle guys, Had a chance to work on and drive a 12 May, 1942 made 15CWT truck. It had been in the back 40 for years. Drug it to the shop, checked fluids, surprisingly, the brakes WORKED and the fluid was clean and clear as well as a great pedal! Put a battery in it...
Well, I took pics today, but you got it figured out. Sorry I was so late  I was gonna say to remove the floor and see if it comes out from the top you affirmed that too!
Here are the pics I took, looks like we will be removing thing to fix oil leaks as well as the stuck valve.
Thanks for that link, I did all 29 pages this morning! Great job on your "fire truck" I thought I had time on my hands. That thing is pretty cool. There are a few GMC's at the Museum, makes me want to suggest that we get some running [thumbzup]
