I bet it's still for a bobcat or maybe the new high speed backhoe. It wouldn't have the same controls as a normal piece of equipment as the mil stuff often is required to uses stock system parts like the filters. Makes inventory a little easier. Also some equipment is also armored so the...
I've hauled trailers out of there with no tags, but did have magnetic lights. If you have a friend with a mil ID it will save you a lot of time at the gate, as you can go in the normal line. the commercial line can take hours. If i wasn't out of town, id give you a hand with this.
My truck was delivered. Air relief valve was missing from the air dryer. And the starter has issues. Jumped the post on the starter. And first gear got her up the driveway with 2 of the rear 4 air can caged
Well talked with the trucking company who pick up my truck from ft Bragg today. Turns out they didn't bring ramps to get it on the trailer. The gp agent and the truck driver jumped the starter, and turns out the truck runs great. They drove it to a ramp and loaded it. Looks like I won't need...
Wow thank you everyone for the offered help. It's an M1078 and should be delivered next Monday or Tuesday. The tow bar was a plan B already. As long as the pickup tomorrow goes as planned, I shouldn't need a tow bar. The issue is if it has to wait until next week then I will be away with...
It's supposed to get on a truck early this week and deliverd on the 30th. I've only got to take it a few hundred yards, I could do it with chains, but I may be doing it all myself and a tow bar would make it a ton easier to get it turned in through a narrowish gate. I would never ask anyone to...
Anyone in the kitsap county area have a tow bar that will work on an Lmtv? Looking to borrow one for a couple of days. I've got a dead m1078 that will need to get off a trailer and up my driveway when it shows up.
Thanks for that good information 73m819. I was under the impression that the drop box was a bolt on and not integral to the tranny casting. They brag about making the truck with off the shelf parts, but that change makes it a lot less common 3000 series transmission. I guess the only way the...
The divorced transfer case I was thinking of is the axletech t600. However I'm not sure what is modified on the transmission for the current t-case set up. I do believe they share the same oil. So to convert the current setup to a divorced set up may have some hidden surprises. You would...
I think this is part of what your thinking of.

nevermind it's AWD... 30-70 split.
i did see a YouTube video of a military auctioned off transfer case air operated with high and low range. Was a divorced set up. But could give you 2wd...
