Thanx for the replies guys.
It is a friends rig that was bought a few years a go as a never started project.
I thought it would look nice dressed up -ala MV- and used to lead my trucks when they are in parades and convoys.
I have only seen it when picking up or dropping someone off at their...
Howdy Jim. :-D
And welcome to the site.
Don't listen to them Wet West-siders, High desert is the life for me.
I am a bit more local than the others that have replied (out off of Badger Rd, Kennewick).
I am around most weekends and I have the beginnings of my own motor pool.
An added plus is...
I am a military jeep novice, I had a 84 CJ-7.
They say it is a 1948 Willy's Jeep with blown head gasket, doesn't run at this time. I am getting pix of the Data plate and the engine.
Peanut Gallery?
Any idea on what it is worth offering?
Thanx.
Don't limit yourself to pop ups, slide in campers have the same gear.
Around here you see ads for people with the older plywood skinned versions just giving them away or asking a couple hundred bucks. But most times they just want it hauled away. :-D
Not trying to steal the thread, but I though this would be 5 Ton Bob related.
Would the M200A2 springs, it's a 2.5 ton trailer, be comparable to the 5 ton fronts,
just like the 105a2 springs, 1.5 ton trailer, being comparable to the 2.5 ton's fronts?
There are probably more 200a2...
Couldn't find the 'thumbs up' emoticon.
But I give it two.
Nice.
Now just buy another 5 deuces and paint them substituting red, yellow, green, orange and violet for the blue and you would have quite a convoy.
Sadly I will not be in attendance.
I am just not up to the 5 hour drive, but the M813A1 is lookin sweet for sure.
Wish I had a trailer to pull her over to the West Side on.
Just no leg room.
One would be OK, but after three 5 hour drives, the legs of my 6'8" frame would be out of...
As long as we are advertising in the forum section.

Thanx for all the wisdom guys.
I was looking at the VDO tachs.
The only ones that were 24V were a boat series.
But then again the 24V is just the lamps, I have seen that mentioned plenty of places.
This all started when I wanted to tune the 180 engine and wanted a tach, but was then thwarted...
Thanx Wolf.
Any idea where those that had a tach, mounted it?
I have heard tht there were some mounted on a tube located in that position.
Just in all the TM's it shows the location covered by a large rubber plug.
And the plug is what mine has.
tahnx again forthe info.
Does any one have a picture they can post of an unimog dash tachometer?
Is it the same size as the speedometer?
I have a hole in my TLF-8 dash, all the way to the right, above the hazzards knob, that has a delapidated rubber cover over it.
It is a round hole with a flat edge at the bottom.
I was...
