that is somewhat strange the holes did not line up and the fuel lines are taller. the heads must be shorter since the ip is not mounted to the heads, the change in distances must be in the heads.
curious to what heads you got. what are the cast markings? gaskets should not make enough...
That pic, the truck must have a manual trans. looks like clutch rod going in the hole between the motor mount and cross over. That pic also has stock motor mounts and frame cross over.
If you have the ord motor mounts and high clearance cross over, you can fit the pipe in the hole. A 3 inch...
The power steering bracket has a 1/2 square hole in it for a socket extension with a long breaker handle. It can help to tie it off with a string but I remember prying with one hand and tightening with the other without much problem. both alts have hole in bracket and a large flat screwdriver...
4 inch I normally minimum with cross over. I have 5 inch. (have zero rates) with just the rear shackle flip I also have cross over high steer and 4 plus the high clearance cross member is needed when using the high steer option. I really have no extra room with 5 inch lift, I cannot run turbo...
that is nice work on the interior. I am going to add the trim and headliner at some point. I like to make it quiet as I can. my floor and fire wall has 3 layers. I am looking for a good product (mostly for sound) to put on the exterior fire wall. I have been looking at aircraft insulation for...
yes, I don't like the standard position of the banks air box. I was going to be in standard position until my larger turbo would not fit without inner fender work so I built the 90 and turned the turbo backwards.
I like the way it turned out with backwards turbo. It was not intentional but I...
I don't know of any shops specific to Humvees. Gass auto did all my diesel work before on duramax. they have changed some people out so I don't know what they are capable of anymore, but my be worth stopping by. They do big truck work and small car work.
I have a cherry picker and a very...
I am going to add a gasket just for extra effort. I never plan to run in water that will ever be as deep as my doors. The snorkel is to protect myself from that splash of water that gets to the intake and also for cleaner air when in trail rides. I wish they could make the pre-cleaners...
I believe the hole on the timing cover it is for crank angle sensor. I am not sure there are any tach interfaces that work with this. The easiest way is with Dakota digital and the alternator or if you just want tach, the tiny tach is great but no outputs.
mine does not have a drain hole that I have found, will look closer, it has a slit (looks like hack saw blade) right at the bottom of where the 4 inch hose connects. It is after the hose connection so I am not sure why it is there, may have been done by previous owner. my parts are used. When...
The placement of all the items worked out really well. I did a little custom work to the stock egr bracket and was able to attach it to the back of the air filter. I am using the stock egr hose and with it much higher, the drain back to the motor should work better than stock. I also angled...
yes, you have to move the lights. I moved them to the lights in the tach. I also kept my other sensors on the motor and wired them all together into the check engine light. This has helped me once already when I was not watching the gauges. having a light come on really helps.
you can also...
LMC has all the parts. best thing to do is get a used cluster that has all the gauges in it already. The wiring harnesses are different, you will have to make you own plug to the cluster, factory one does not work unless you change the wiring harness.
I have done it on my truck, I have posted...
the grey stuff is just torque lube. use it on the upper nuts, the bottom of the bolts should have thread sealer. I believe all of the head bolts go through to the water jacket.
you may have fixed the leak under the hood, but may still have a white cloud.
Ok, that could work.
I don't have a cross over to send you, I am in need of mine to finish my build. there should be someone out there with a loner. may want to put it in the want adds.
I think in hot areas, it would work best if it were running through the bypass. This would give you a bypass...
what I am trying to say is there is no place to connect on the cross over besides the bypass or the heater hose. unless you drill tap and thread the cross over, you cannot connect to it. you may be able to make a thermostat housing extension but the 6.2 cross over has no sensors or other...
6.5 gep J-code progress - elbow for turbo on banks manifold
I have decided to go back with all the cucv belt system. need to get moving on the truck and I have all the parts for the cucv system.
I have made some progress, I was able to get the motor back in the truck. I am almost ready for...
The only access to the front cross over would be between the water pump and cross over, you would have to put a T in the short hose. this would connect your two rear feeds to the bypass on the water pump so you would have flow at all times,
The rear sensor plate can be ordered it just has a...
