    Brake Air tank oil puke

Any thoughts? I'm going to try the 15 mile trip home in the morning when it's cool.

    Brake Air tank oil puke

OK here I've got the same issue. I've had my deuce for months but really only started giving it any road time over the last couple weeks. Every time in the past when I've opened the compressor after driving, I would get a spray of air and moisture and a little bit of an oily film, but no...

    Changing the thermostat questions

Yeah I see that now--4662. Thanks!

    Changing the thermostat questions

I realize this is an old thread but I'm getting ready to tackle my thermostat. NAPA does not show anything for part # 4622 as stated above, but for the 358-180 thermostat they have the seal part # 4661 with these attributes: Water Outlet Seal ID: 2.27" Water Outlet Seal OD: 2.66" Water Outlet...

    Air comprssor belt adjustment

Thanks, gimpy. I love your sig. I saw one about a month ago, a frickin' palm tree in an Indiana govt. office building on GL. The description was crazy.

    Air comprssor belt adjustment

Thanks, guys. The TM says the radiator must be removed for changing the belts. Must it be removed here also?

    Air comprssor belt adjustment

Rather than start a new thread on the same topic, I'll bump this old one. Quoting from the -20 TM: 1. Turn engine serveral revolutions, by turning crankshaft bolt ( 8 ), to equalize tension on both sides of drivebelt (5). 2. Holding straight edge (6) along drivebelt (5), use 6-inch rule...

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

    Man that looks sweet.

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

Well, Ohio law isn't going to help me here, but it looks like Ohio DOES recognize painted unit numbers in lieu of a mounted plate, so long as the historic plates are kept in the cab. That's what I'm going to do until I'm told otherwise. Thanks!

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

I've seen your truck, I guarantee you would win. Hey I just noticed your sig, Strykerboy--where is your M109 waiting at?

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

Okay, here is the wording on KY state law: [/SIZE] Now, my question: do the numbers painted on the rear bumperettes of my deuce constitute an "Authentic Kentucky License Plate?" as stated above? Per the info I got from Carnac, this truck has always been a KY national guard truck. I will, of...

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

No front plate required PLUS (I need to re-read it but I think) KRS says historic plates may be kept in the cab, even the rear one need not be displayed. I'll double-check that.

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

I appreciate the offer; let me make sure it's the cap first. I let it run for a while today and watched it and nothing came out...

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

Somebody asked for pics. These were taken a day or two ago.

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

There's a joke in there somewhere: How do you tell if two deuces are drag racing? ...when the 'chute pops out behind them... ...they start by running over a christmas tree... ...because the smoke comes out REALLY black... I don't know. Someone can prolly do better...

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

Hey while I've got you; I'm noticing a few drops of coolant on the front of the compressor after she runs lately. The coolant doesn't route through the compressor, does it? I think it must be coming out, maybe out of the radiator cap and spraying on it. But it almost looks like it's leaking out...

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

Eight months after winning my deuce on GL, I finally got my plates today. She's finally street-lethal. I mean legal. :D While I was in the clerk's office, a vietnam vet came in and was giving her a good looking-over. He said he was a motorpool mechanic and had worked on them. When all our...

    Baby steps with the Deuce

Finally got the bumper and grill primed and re-installed. They were the rustiest parts. There's more to be done with hood and fenders but I wanted to get her reassembled to FINALLY go and get plates!!! I did have to straighten the bumper a little using my arbor press. Turned out great--all...

    GL M151s pulled

Can someone explain what y'all are "in the know" about? What were these things?
