On my '72 M109 I took out injectors, had them cleaned and tested, complete fluid swap, new filters all the way around, blew out all fuel lines, troubleshot the in tank pump and found a bad fuse :clinto:, replaced some bad return line and waiting on a couple of fittings, realized i need to do...
Do just speakinh about all valves in general, if say #2 valve is it fully closed it is ok to adjust even if it is 180 degrees out from it's actual power stroke?
Was busy installing the new injector lines and was attaching #6 to the nozzle and looked over and saw this...**** good way to fall backwards off the truck.
Roger on all. I do think i like it though. It works great but just a little loud. Will put a power switch on it. It is wired directly to the battery switch under dash.
I took great care removing my injectors and marking what hole they came out of. Took them to the shop and they cleaned and tested them. Got them back and no more tape on them for what hole and the shop said it does not matter. My thing is doesn't it matter what direction the fuel is shot out of...
I am working on getting everything ready to do a valve adjustment and not sure i understand where to start at. The manual states rotate until 1/16" past the lds-465-1 mark toward the other marks. Mine is a LDT-465-C and just want to make sure i am where it needs to be to start on #1 intake. two...
What came out of it was a NAPA 3511 and those caps fit nicely over each end of it and it does have its own existing caps on the filter. The new one looks just like it but just slightly larger diameter and those caps does not fit on it. Never seen those on my other deuces so this may be something...
Yet another question....i got my filters from Oriellly since NAPA is closed today. The primary is the WIX 33113. The deal is that the caps in picture do not fit the filter, filter is slightly larger diameter. Question is, is it a big deal or should i get the NAPA filter? The 33113 is listed on...
I knew it wasn't too bad, but with the luck i am having with this engine i am expecting the worse i guess. One of the items i think you said to check for loss of power was the valve lash so i can take care of all of that at the same time.
Hi, in reference to the same deuce that i am having a loss of power on, i found seepage from the right side of head. I dont think it is coming from a valve cover. At what point is it considered enough to replace the head gaskets? I would use this opportunity to have injectors checked of...
My new to me M109A3 has the power converter under passenger seat that actually works. The deal is that it comes on when i switch on the battery. Surely there is a separate switch right? I am going through the pubs now but need to get that converter turned off sooner than later.
