Thanks for all of that. That was just what i was looking for. I just got this one and have zero history on it on how much driven, etc. I want to say due to the spider webs in between the duals, not much. I will just do as you said and start chipping away at possibilities. My '66 with what i...
Hi,
I am trying to get another deuce up and running and i need some help with some initial troubleshooting. This is a Toole Army depot rebuild motor and it sounds like a new motor at idle, except for at the exhaust has a very slight what i would call a miss...there is no vapor of blow by that i...
Hi, on my new to me 1966 Deuce, there is a distinct ticking noise coming from the turbo area left side of the engine. The noise does not sound different if i remove the oil fill cap meaning i dont thing it is from the valve train, or at least on that three cylinders. It sounds like it could be...
Changed my primary filter today and when i put the new filter in, i could not depress the spring at all. Is it supposed to depress a little? I was under the understanding that the spring put pressure against the filter so it would make a seal against filter housing. Also, inside i was able to...
Quick question, the tm states that equipment condition is battery cables disconnected prior to testing. My question is how can i feel voltage from the module to tp31 when batteries are disconnected? My mep will not stay running, keeps shutting down and occasionally it will have a overload short...
I visited Albany lot today to grab up a MEP 831. Scott was outstanding. I do have a problem with the generator (a big problem), we will see what route GP decides to take. I can only hope they do the right thing.
on the cables, i have the positive going from the 24v lug in the M998 to the positive cable clamp on the 831, and both ends of the negative jumper cable lead going to chassis on each end and did nothing with the negative battery terminal on the 831...any of that an issue or possible cause?
Sir, it isn't and jumped just fine. However i am having problems with the electric actuator shuttingnit down. Runs great as long as i keep the actuator from closing. I have not trouble shot yet per TM. Not near computer.

I picked up my MEP 831 today. It will not start using the manual start. It does have fuel, it did run on the video from GP. I followed the correct procedures for a manual start. It did crank with a couple of pulls and shut off after a few seconds and will not do anything now after many pulls...
Yea, my idea is have it on a small trailer so it is really mobile, with fuel, maybe a mounted toolbox, and whatever else. Brainstorming right now

I am trying to get some ideas on mounting my 831 on a trailer. I have seen some good ideas and asking for some pics of what y'all have come up with. Trying to decide on what trailer to start with.
Thank you!

To add, i do not want that grey real spongy stuff. Looking for stripping like is around the tailgate, black and higher quality

I need to put the weatherstripping around my tailgate but i want to use some for gaps on my soft top doors, etc. Is there a decent source of supply for some good GP stick on weatherstripping? Not really concerned with using the correct stripping for the tailgate since it is most likely...
