I am convinced that the souls of dead lawyers and politicians somehow are fuses with dark magic into military fuel gauges. Out of the 100's of trucks I've picked up and driven, every last gauge LIES.
I bought the wrecker bed from M16ty. It was in excellent shape except for the paint. And it was a royal PITA to get the bed, and then install it on another truck.
I highly recommend leaving the wrecker a wrecker.
You'd either have to convert the 816 to auto (not too hard if you have a donor truck with one) unless you want to do a bunch of fab work to get the clutch to work in the 900 series cab. Ditto for the brakes. If you do get a donor truck I would take the air brake axles off the 900 and put them...
I would love to go if I can catch a ride with someone leaving from near my area and wouldn't mind strapping me to the luggage rack or pickup bed. If I'm provided with a space inside I would gladly chip in for fuel!
Hello. I just got a trailer in Wimauma, FL, I know it is south of Tampa. Can someone pick it up for me and hold it for a little while? It has been modified with a 2in ball so it could be pulled with a pickup or SUV.
Please PM me if you can help.
Thanks!
I'm not very impressed if this is all it takes to stop your machine from making a simple road test. I thought you were upgrading your M931, not turning it into a pedal car? UNSUBSCRIBED!
Have you watched shipping wars? Make sure it isn't some joker with an f150 with a 45ft gooseneck that used to be a 20ft car trailer and a 25ft goose neck. I have seen this setup in real life. I have also had two other 'shippers' with similarly unsuitable equipment. Just be careful who you deal...
M49 is a 2.5 ton. He is kind of sort of right, as a 2.5 ton is off road rating, 5 ton is on road. But as far as everyone in the real world os concerned, its a deuce and a half.
It wasn't bothering me to keep it a secret! I was looking forward to having someone at the compound recording video, so after all the trucks where there, and everyone heard the sounds of a Mack coming, we could get the "what the **** is that coming?!?!" Faces. Oh well. I'm picking up the m813...
According to the manufacturer, the pump has to turn 1800 rpm to produce the flow rate and pressures as specified for the bed. I'm not mathematically inclined enough to figure out if you had say a 10hp motor at 3600rpm running through a reduction gear box to 1800rpm if that would transmit the...
Back when I was going to move my pump onto an MEP motor, I actually contacted the manufacture of the hydraulic pump used in a M936 and got the 18hp via diesel engine at 1800rpm straight from a service rep to match the M936 bed required pressures and flow. 18hp electric motors are not that common...
Uh, I'm dreading moving the 11 trucks and 6 trailers to my new property. I probably won't be doing it all in one day however...
Way to go and a big trailer definitely helps!
