    Open -34 TM. Appendix E-13. Find fuse box on figure. Upper left hand connections show a diode, possibly Zener on circuit with brown wire #27 (circuit number). My best guess is this component has failed. Yet another modification for the tactical light system.

    Look at the 2 terminal plastic connector on the back (non drive end) of the alternator. Probe the red wire terminal with a multimeter, putting the other multimeter terminal at the positive terminal of the over charging battery. Measure the voltage. You are looking for faults in this wiring...
