Paint code 24052 for semi-gloss Marine Green (34052 for flat)
The Gillespie paint from Rapco is very good stuff, in my opinion.
A note on their paint - I used some 34052 to paint some display items, and much to my horror they were bright and shiny when I was done. Two hours later, still...
While on the topic of Marine markings, anyone able to say what these embarkation codes (with red arrows pointing at them) painted on Marine trucks/trailers mean?
My son did tell me WR CARC was 'water reducible', so disregard that one.
Cheers
Here is a picture of a Marine M1010, also in the Camp P museum. The picture crunches way down, but the door numbers are 534473. In this picture, it has a museum license plate on the front. It is marked USMC where the plate goes, visible when the museum plate is off. I got in a hurry and...
Most Marine deuces start with 37, though I have seen a couple that start with 39. The early gassers seem to have usually started with 18.
On all my Marine vehicles, and most I look at, the 6-digit hood number (fender # on my motorcycles ;)) is the same as the vehicle serial number on the data...
Yep, Marines, Navy and Air Force all flew the F-4. Great plane, with a big production run (for a jet) and a long service life.
Several countries still operate them, I believe South Korea, Japan, Greece, Turkey, and Iran. Subject to verification, of course.

Your video makes me look fat! Other than that, the RPV is really cool. Flies well, the wind wasn't just strong, it was gusty.
By my count, we had 21 vehicles and 5 trailers at the show (not all present in the video).
The Goat got a good workout, driven a lot, and I am very impressed with...
Very nice display!
I like your toolbox too. I picked up an A5 Mule last week, it has a battery box where your toolbox is (electric start). It's a battery shelf, really, since it is open on the side. I've been contemplating better ways of doing it, since I don't like the exposed batteries...
See if it matches 34079, commonly called Forest Green. (24079 if its semi-gloss).
Also look at 34052 Marine Green, which the Seabees often use. (semi-gloss is 24052)

PS didn't see greenjeepster's post before I sent mine in.
It was a lot more fun to drive this time than the last. Having the steering actually work is a huge boon!
Seeing what Mkcoen did with this Goat in just a few weeks is truly inspiring. Great job!

Holler at WGTactical, he has both vehicles, and put a V turret on an M114, he can tell you exactly what would be involved.
A 20mm turret was developed for the early V100, not adopted, but was then used on the M114. The all-around vision blocks were used on the production V turret.

Looking great! Those sure are nice tail-lights. ;)
Looking forward to seeing it tomorrow. I've been talked into bringing the "new" mule, so the two ungulates can hang out together.
Bring a tarp! Good chance of overnight rain Friday into Saturday.
Cheers
Agreed.
Most of the TOW Mules I have seen in 'service' pictures are using the standard wheel setup, haven't found an 'in service' shot of the wide wheel setup yet.
As a new Mule owner, I've been looking a lot recently. :)

My older son, who is now (thankfully) a former Marine combat engineer, is beginning a restoration of one of these.
He had a complete inert rocket, I gave him a nearly complete, though not pretty, trailer for Christmas (yes, we are a weird family!).
He used these during two tours in...
Nicknames stick! Sam's M1009 "Pinky" was called that 'til the day it died, despite not having been pink for many years.
The Goat is looking good.
Cheers
