IHave you checked the day tank float? When it senses no fuel in the Day tank, it will shut the engine down, and not let it start. It should also tell the fault indicator to show a "No or Low fuel" light. Do you have the TM's?

Do not forget, the the enclosure also helps cool the main gen and engine. Thats why you have several warnings in the TM's, about running the set with ALL doors closed. So If you do remove the enclosure, keep that in mind.

The relay says 12 volts. If you applied 12 volts to the B&C and nothing happened, then its bad.

What ever a WATS kit is, I have never heard anything about it. The military did not buy any test equipment for power generation. So what ever info you have about it, I would like to see. But plugging it in, might not be a good idea until you know its made to test a gen set.

This is not the proper Alternator for your set anyway. Look at the part number on the Alt. Look at the list I sent. See that number?
