Irony! That's like having that nagging wife disrespecting your motorpool then begging for A/C power during a storm or pimping you out to move her girlfriend (or personal trainer/ pool boy).
Not to be a naysayer but my guess is that the more HMMWVs that come out, the more scrutiny they will get. It's no secret that they weren't supposed to be registered for road use. I wonder if any of the early release sale from the USMC owners will soon see repurcussions from GP selloff.
Moving the oring adapters to the front was genius. That has been the bggest challenge with doing an AN line and each of us had the part we needed but didn't know.
Deuce rear suspension is a work of art. When loaded the rear housing brackets have a higher coefficient of friction so when the spring is finally forced to move, it does so with force.
Properly serviced brakes will do just fine. As Clinto said, price parts and weight go up exponentially on 5 tons and FMTV stuff. Here is one of the best aspects of a regular old M35A2. When your neighbors and friends find out it has 3 pedals and no power steering, they are 10 times less likely...
I give you kudos on lifting an M1031. I have a concoction that resembles an SECM. Stock height (mostly) and other than duals, stock size tires. I still have trouble reaching the side boxes. Gimpy will be along soon to comment on my being altitudally challenged.
Are you sans locker now that the 70 is in? I'm guessing that the SRW hubs will aid in placement of the HMMWV rims, correct?
Shackle flip, not a big fan for a work truck. You would have to re-engineer all the overload leaf pads to keep the overloads then you deal with the pinion angle...
What kind of trailer do you have? Do you plan on adding a hitch as well. There are a number of options and based on the direction you are going, some are better than others.
