I have a bunch of 5L NATO cans I use for other fluids but fuel is USGI cans. Devilman96 and I used to battle over NATO vs USGI cans. He swore the NATO can with the OE spout would dump a can quicker. Turns out they can both dump a can of diesel in just under a minute.

USGI metal appendages are splendid. I have a few and none leak in either can. A source for new expandible rubber bungs would be good also. Has anyone experienced the lining in the discharge tube decaying? My cans and spouts have only seen diesel and had them all new.

Vac brakes would most certainly work. Gasser K5 blazers had vac stuff. I think all 80s GM 1 tons had hydroboost so the bracket you need is likely plentiful.

I think it would be much easier to find a gasser hydro PS pump bracket then to switch back to vac brakes.

They are not hard at all. Much easier with a lockplate tool. They are about $15. Remove horn button stuff, wheel and lockplate to expose tumbler bolt. Remove bolt, swap cylinders and reassemble.
