I've heard the m1114 chips when put in a m998 or similar vehicle causes the shift points to be ridiculously high, like red line for 3rd gear. And if it's not programmable, I'll have to find a chip from I guess a h1 or some 10k humvee? m1123, m1097a2, ect.?
I don't know exactly what year the computer is, but it came with a 2003 4l80e if that makes any difference. The chip is removable. So for a 2003 tranny I'd have to have 2001 or newer chip right? Were those EPROM
I think I'll switch the TISS and TOSS and see what happens... I'm up for trying...
94 6.2? That's interesting considering the TCM box has the number for a m1114... I got the tranny and tcm together from predator. I'm near the end of this 4l80 change and its brought more trouble than I thought it would.
Its also interesting cause thats exactly my vehicle, but the box did not...
Definitely is the correct torque converter, came with the transmission. I disconnected power from the TCM to see what true limp mode felt like. Its definitely starting out in 1st gear, cause 2nd gear is a lot more sluggish.
I DID get the tranny from predator... which is a **** show buying...
The shop I was having look at the problem said all of their scanners wouldn't fit, and since my trans warn lamp doesn't work I have to do some good hard thinking and hopefully come up with a solution. Or get the EPROM reprogrammed... and fix my trans warn lamp...
Were you able to get the...
I just found out the tcm was for a m1113/4, which means the shift points could just be extremely high. Which only makes the problem unsolvable because I can't find any chips for the lower weighted vehicles and i dont know how to reprogram those chips.
My transmission is all sorts of ****ed up confusion right now. I'm trying to determine what vehicle/engine this eprom was for. I found that sheet that had a couple numbers and corresponding engines on it, but this number was nowhere on it.
4l80 starts out in 1st gear. Shifts into second, then doesn't shift up any further.
While on the road, I can shift from D into 2 and it will downshift ONLY when going above 30 MPH.
When hooked up to a civi computer the transmission will manually shift through all gears. Solenoids are fine...
There is 12v at the transmission connector E.
I assume cause the power has to go through the TCM first the computer is getting power.
Had a transmission shop shift the tranny manually with a super shifter and the transmission solenoids are all good.
Either it's my ESS or the TOSS. Or maybe...
So I'm just finishing up my 4l80 conversion, and I'm having some "adventures" with the dash area wiring. (I used the new A2 harness)
I ironed out most of the initial issues with the harness but still have a few. Engine starts, wait to start light works.
Currently, none of the lights work...
So AM General thought it was a great idea to label the wire lead numbers on the relay 1,2,3,4 instead of matching the harness wire leads. Anyone know what each number on the relay corresponds to on the A2 body harness?
I can make out
1: 57T
2: 29T
3 and 4 seem to be 3 digit numbers and a...
I know its for the m996 and m997, but it seems like there might be some pieces missing. For one I don't see the two circuit breakers in the dash on those diagrams? (maybe I'm just blind...)
Almost done with my 4l80 upgrade, but I am using the hummer h1 ESS which goes in the oil pump drive (been told it works, hoping it does). In the off chance that it doesn't work I'd like to have a backup using the original system, with the ESS on the timing chain.
So what parts do I need to...
