Reads about right, the inverter may have a low cut-off before the batteries get completely drained also, so you'd never get to use the full capacity.
In comparison, my puny 70 Ah system lets me run a 200 Watt (average) load for about 8 hours and recharges fully in 45 minutes or so, at an 80 amp...
Here is one that failed on me a few years ago. How did the mating contact(s) survive?
IMHO, it's an alloy, pure copper would be too soft.
Seems like a new solenoid would be in order...
Okay, did a little searching, so they are Lead-Calcium types and can apparently handle a terrific charging rate, although didn't find any numbers on that specifically.
If you can charge them in 8 hours, that would be at a 250 amp rate for a total of 2,000 Ah (each 24-cell bank).
Very...
Couple of points, if the house batteries will run down, make sure they are "deep cycle", regular starting batteries will not recover after a few deep cycle run-downs and find a "pure sine wave" inverter if you plan on using electronics (in particular, a radio..lots of hum from modified sine wave...
About the one-way breather vents, don't know where I have seen it, but there are specific instructions about letting the axles cool off before entering water for that exact reason (sucking water through seals when the hot air cools off).

Image shows someone else (Brandon ?) with a similar problem.
My set-up is slightly different, I have starting batteries isolated from "house batteries", which are used for everything else, fuel burning heaters, inverter(s), genset starting etc, so that the engine starting operation is never effected by other electrical systems.
Using two batteries for...
