    Can't wait to see the finished product. On a side note, frame flanges shouldn't be drilled. The flange is the strong point. You should glove the frame if you intend to put weight in it.

    That is what I meant, the environment it was in while opened up. The size of the hit on the piston and head is what would determine the reuse of the rod. One little piece stuck in a piston from a failure in another cylinder, it would be ok. If the crown is unrecognizable, time for a rod.
