    Bringing to Aberdeen 2011

Anyone have a nice condition 1100x20 Goodyear G177 radial mounted on a 5 ton rim that they can bring to Aberdeen? Also, I am looking for the spare tire retaining bracket with the threaded rod that holds the bracket against the tire. If so, please PM me your prices and the condition of the items.

    Some prices for parts

Finding a canvas cargo cover will be tough in my opinion. I have never seen one for sale and the only ones I have ever seen have come out on trucks and were in older condition (and, even then, most of the few that have come out on trucks were vinyl). You might be best served...if you have to...

    Bringing to Aberdeen 2011

Is anyone bringing the following: *M116A2 generator trailer cargo cover (tan, green, camo...new or good used) *M939 series wiper arms (complete with splined key that kits into the arm and over the wiper shaft protruding through the windshield) Thanks!

    Oil out exhaust

That was my recollection on Richard Greene, too.

Sorry GUNBOY. I think you posted while I was typing.

    Oil out exhaust

I never had oil spew out of any exhaust on a deuce or any other military truck that I've owned. However, I have had sooty water spew out if I parked the truck without a "rain cap" on the exhaust. I assume you are sure that it is not rain related. By the way, you may not even know of him, but...

    M998

6.2l motors are available. I bought two a few years back for $900 (for the two...$450 each). I don't think that guy has anymore, but another friend in MD (CUCVFAN) bought two motors in DE or MD (can't remember which) and paid about what I paid. They are out there. You might want to PM...

    cheapest m35 A-3 ?

For whatever reason, I must not have bid that sale because it seems every sale there that I watch and/or bid the trucks go crazy. For the longest time...and it was not long ago (maybe eight months)...you could not get a winch truck there. I even saw winch trucks bring $12K or more. I could...

Newb here, question from the wiser Deuce owners

ZOMBK, hopefully we'll see you at the Aberdeen show in May. I suggest the UHAUL route, too. You can always find a truck for that price later or cheaper if you are willing to take the auction risks and can fix some stuff yourself.

    cheapest m35 A-3 ?

What is it about the M35A3s in WI? They seem to bring top dollar. I have recently seen (within the past eight months) W/W trucks bring $10K+! I have bid on trucks there because they were clean, but I dropped out way before that.

    cheapest m35 A-3 ?

One thing I want to add to the OP, the trucks at Meade usually bring top dollar. I am not sure what it is about that location, but they never go as cheaply as some other places, like GA. The other thing to consider, though, is shipping. Sometimes, you save a dollar on the truck and spend it...

What oil are you using in gensets

I second this. I feel the brand is less important. I try to select a brand name that is on sale. I like Rotella, but I also use Mobil Delvac (another very good oil!), Pennzoil, Valvoline, Quaker State, and others. I often get my oil from NAPA and the 5 gallon pails they sell are sold with a...

    cheapest m35 A-3 ?

How much you pay is affected by many variables... 1) How many guys want the truck (which is related to...) 2) How nice the truck is 3) Where the truck is located 4) How many other similar trucks are on the same sale and are on other upcoming or recent sales. I did watch the sales in GA...

    Bringing to Aberdeen 2011

The passenger side covers are plentiful as they are the same as those on the M35A2. You can get them, among other places, from New Life Canvas Resources, Beachwood, Weebee Webbing, etc. Or, there will probably be someone at the show with them (I realize that was your original thought). The...

    M146 RV Conversion

Ray, I once had an M275A2 (Kenny's old deuce tractor) that I used to haul around an M313 and the it drove down the highway doing 50-54 MPH without a problem. Hills did slow it down, but not too badly. I am sure you'll be fine with the M35A2 conversion to a road tractor. Great job!

Bondo Deuce, topless Deuce, bob time

Looking good. Have you priced out a used fender? I have not bought one for years, but they used to be reasonable. Check with JATONKA in upstate NY. He might have one.

M416 Trailer build for back-country travel

You are way past this point and maybe it was in another thread, but did you consider a 3/4 ton trailer such as an M101A2? Just curious why you decided to start with an M416. I admire your craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Well, I blew it up on the way home.

Dudley (ATANKERSDAD) has a complete, running LDS motor. Why not swap in the 5 ton motor? Send him a PM to make sure he still has it.

pics of m923 with oversize super singles?

I agree with Derrick, but I know this is personal preference. The 1600s will fit, but I know that guys have said that they sap the power out of the truck. IMO, 1400s are plenty beefy, but I do realize that guys always want more....and that is the reason that most of us have more than one truck!

    Shipping from the islands

The only reason to bid that far away is because a truck is not available stateside. I bought an M932 in HI when they were not available in the continental U.S. The cost will shock you. There are no savings. I had over $11K in that truck by the time I got it home...and that was 11 years ago! I...
