What is the frame rail width on the 813A1?
Is it the same as a m35a2?
I could not find anything in the TMs for the 813A1.
But I did find dimensions of the M35A2.
I might need to fab up a receiver hitch to pull my truck and trailer with if the trucking firm I hired doesn't come through in the...
You could also make light guide out of plastic tubing, flexible or semi-rigid, filled with mineral oil, then capped with plugs of the acrylic you are talking about.
The plugs just have to be polished on both ends to let the light thru. The interface between the plastic tubing and the mineral oil...
Not to hi-jack the thread.....
The Hemmt seats do look great.
But a note for the taller crowd.
I tried the same thing.
As a suggestion on how to incease the amount of leg room in the cab.
They give a better ride, but they actually decrease the amount of legroom due to the seat's angle.
The server is definitely much faster on my end.
No complaints here.
A great improvement.
And since it was such a great sight before...
Now it is simply a super marvelous site.
Thanx for all the hard Server/support work.
Thanx for the offer little bob,
I found a 7/8 -14 fine thread castle nut with nylon insert at true value and it threaded onto the shaft just fine.
I will try it for a while and check to see if it comes loose. The locking nylon is a nice touch.
Now I just have to find the right smaller steering...
Well a steering wheel off of a 5 ton doesn't work on a M35A2.
Tried it today. the center hole was to small.
But the 7/8 -14 fine thread castle nut with nylon insert threaded onto the shaft just fine.
I got an error reading 'Error: Unknown column 'country_id' in 'on clause' back' when I tried to access the classifieds section via the link in the left column.
Anyone else have this problem?
Tony
Would anyone be able to cross NSN 5310-00-995-1833?
It is the steering wheel nut on the m35a2.
The part is called for in the TMs but the only desc. is hexagonal nut.
But not the size it looks like a fine thread 7/8-14.
I will try one after I pick it up from True Value.
I found out last night...

If your not in a hurry, and who ever is, the idaho motorpool is having it's MV event the weekend of June 14 (Thurs thru Sat).
There are supposed to be vendor tables and such. I was heading there to check for various parts. They are off of !-84, 1st exit in ID...
The camera and batteries are already in the glove box.
I did a 4 hour ride in the Deuce when I picked it up over near Tacoma. I had no problems with it. I had a chase vehicle just in case.
I am trying to get psyched up enough to take it down thru Pendleton to the ID rally this summer. But...
Guys Thanx for the well wishes.
Ths time it will be a drive in luxury.
Last x-country trip was in a camper converted short school bus towing a CJ-7 in the August heat with no A.C..
So this should be a walk in the park.
I know what you Will Wagner means about the winds. Here in the Columbia...
Thought I would post this trip as it may be of help to the SS community who have been so helpful to me in the past.
I have a x-country round trip planned for April 27 to May 9.

devilman96,
I was figuring that the steering wheel problem was going to wind up involving a lot of work to fix.
Thank you for confirming my fears.
I hadn't thought of welding a deuce center into another steering wheel. Great idea.
Machining a spline would definitely be to involved for me...
Hello,
I am looking for some help in locating a smaller diameter steering wheel for my deuce.
I had to remove the driver's side seat back in order to be able to raise my left leg enough to work the clutch and brake pedals ( I'm 6'8").
There also wasn't enough room between the steering wheel...
