It sound like we have around 5. I had mentioned to the parade coordinator that we might have about 6 and she indicated that 6 would be fine. The #20-23 block was just a continuous group of unissued numbers near the front.
I've sent a note asking if there is a limit we should stick to, will...
Hi all, Crusher has a conflict this year so I am coordinating our participation. Of the parades we have done this one is my favorite. It goes through a residential neighborhood and the crowd really appreciates the MVs. If you search Edgewood here on SS you can see the prior threads with...
The M977 and M985 range diagrams are together in the TM. The question I have is, what can you expect to lift on to the bed of a M977 with the crane at the 9 ft/4500# position? Is the geometry such that you can lift a typical 3500-4000 pound car/jeep? Maybe a lightened HMMWV?
Charles, do you have DDEC III/IV? Have you tried to read fault codes? Do you have TM-9-2320-360-20-3? You can get it on the internet, e.g. at liberatedmanuals.com. FWIW, in the section for "Can't get full power", the second thing listed after "Plugged Fuel Filters" is "Hose not connected to...
So how does a "normal" amount of knocking coconut sound correspond to load? My 1984 M925 has more "coconut" effect than my 1986 M925A1, and it increases with load. It is not really present at all when coasting. I had a career army truck mechanic ride in it and he said it is completely normal...
5tonbrian, see the diagram in post #21 (top of page 3). If you have gages then there is power on wire 5. Beside the PCB, other problems could be the starter switch on the dash or the Neutral Safety switch. Can you probe wire 499 (Term E) at the PCB and see if you are getting 24V there when...
If you are not getting gauges on, then it sounds like PCB or the Battery switch or related connection.
This seems to come up about once a week...maybe it should be a sticky.

Reminds me of when I was young and broke. I fixed a number of radiators by crimping and soldering, even breaking out heavily damaged sections of the channels and folding over and soldering. The key is to get it clean enough and use flux to get the solder to flow out. I went looking for a...
I received the map of the parade route and instructions, attached. We are to arrive at 6:00 pm, stage behind the Kroger store.
So far Guns with 1-2 trucks, and I will have the M925. Any more?
I talked with the parade coordinator today. She would like to have the MVs up front, and have us arrive by 6:00 pm. If you let me know you will be later, I will save you a spot in line. I put 2-4 trucks on the registration form and submitted it. More trucks are fine, just post that you are...
There was some discussion added on to the thread for last year's parade regarding this year's parade, but no commitments were made for this year and the thread went quiet. I am starting a new thread so the date in the title is correct for 2014.
The 2014 parade is Friday June 27 at 7 pm, from...
