I thought I would bring this back to the top because I know that there was more stolen and now we have many more out there to mix them in with other than the data plates is there a place to look for a traceable number?
I would not buy this truck to hack up it will disappoint you. The axles are weaker than the later ones and lots of other reasons not to try to make it in to a toy. But maybe buy clean and paint back the original green and sell, will save the old gal from the scrappers. Might be good for your...
Okay only my opinion but will fit the most trucks from the military. Some will say it doesn't work this way but I have scrapped a lot of trucks and probably 75% of them had a separation of the antifreeze and water and the lower radiator hose had rusty muddy like crud come out of the engine and...
Okay from a law enforcement perspective you should only use the S/N as it appears on the data plate/frame. Now I know for a fact that some do not have one or the other and some none, but please remember that GL/GP is responsible for getting you the correct number. If any of the state's will not...
Also the M944 have a factory muffler shield that is almost exactly like this and should have been on all but the dumps and solid body trucks.
Sorry for the wait.
98G call back to GL and ask for a supervisor and tell them what happened and the number of days to pickup is the days they are open at the location not calendar and if you had an appointment he doesn't have the right to deny the property. He has a boss also and if you push hard enough you can...
Okay does anybody know where the Vin number is on the frame. And as to the OP's post any truck that comes out of the military can and usually does have parts that the manufacturer did not put in them. If you are the mechanics and you are fixing a truck for your brother and cost is not your...
The boom winch on a M936 is made just like the front winch except for the drum, mounts, and dog for free spool, most all of the other parts are the same.
On the subject of a gun box for the rear, what would you guys think would be better for an accurate Desert Storm/ OIF gun box, a single mount for a 50bmg / MK19 or multiple mounts for M60/M240
And that's why I posted this
Now in my trucks defense it has all the cab reinforcements and I do have the LWS to put back on and a few other pieces but it probably won't be a fully up armored cab as the truck never was up armored in service. I want to check and see how it was used in service...
Welcome to the madness. As to putting a different transmission and transfer case I would probably keep the transmission and just add the transfer case of a m35a2, should have air engaged front and is divorced from the transmission.
