Before you jump to conclusions, I would also test the Day Tank Float. There is the procedure in the TM. If the float doesn't work right, then your pumps are not going to turn on.
If its a precise unit, then its not a MEP-005A. IT's a MEP-104A. Look at the data plate. Take pictures. The A11 and A27 are the same as in the MEP-005A
Yes sir! Thats it. Take the 4 nuts that hold the A5 card in the A27 to the side wall, off. Look at the back of the A5 for burn marks.
But your A11 static exciter is also shot. The A11 will not have any influence on the fuel pumps, nor the starting and run function of the set.

I thought it was an M-816. But have never seen the M-62. When I got to my unit in 73, I never had anything to do with a wrecker until a few years later. By then it was the M816. That one, I used a lots over the years.
