If both batteries are low, you can disconnect the battery cables on the "dead" truck, charge each battery for several minutes with the 12v jumpers and then start it.
It looks like OLDCHEV4X4 will be there Saturday and CARNAC may do a "drive by" instead of spending too much time due to the new baby.
I don't know who else will be there.
I'll be leaving at O'Dark-Thirty tomorrow and returning Sunday, 01FEB09. We've got slave cables and a tow bar.
If anyone...
Actually, I was the guy who gave up the adapter.
The local transmission shop owner, who builds transmissions and driveline stuff for off-roaders tells me that it can go for a lot of dough, depending on the market and buyer.
As he explained it, in an area with a lot of off-road types, these...
Agreed. Some of us have spares on 3/4 ton trailers due to those trailers being towed by so many different trucks.
A while back, there was a thread showing a tow bar stowed under the bed of a deuce, across the frame. Does anyone have a link or know who's rig that was?
Even with the road salt...
Looks like a post WWII Bantam.
Some of the give-aways are the gussets at the rear corners, 3 tie down loops on each side (as opposed to 4) etc.
A Google search of "Batam trailer" and a scan of the post war info should give you more info than you need.

EDIT: MY 1946 Bantam has three tie...
Last year, we were down some trails that had trees leaning over the trail so steeply that folks had to back and fill to get the cabs and exhaust pipes around them. Most folks took the troop seats off for the same reason. If an M109 hits the trail this year, a few of those trails will need to be...
The M2 and MBUs are burner units that provide heat to field ranges, griddles etc.
MKT-85 and MKT-90 (and earlier MKT designations) refer to differences in things other than the burner units, such as interior configuration and layout and trailer chassis updates.
The MBU has been around for...
Badge boy, if you need it hauled home, let me know. I'm sure we can work it out.
As of last Wed.(?) when Doghead and I were there, it was intact. Kevin Smart, the Drum GL guy, is anal about being with people when they're in the yard and there is no military scavenging of parts at Drum since...
Dennis, that woman is a keeper! Now, just how many days on the beach, this winter, is that going to cost you? Worse, I'll bet she now refers to it as "my truck"
That said, where's the "snow"? All you've got is a dusting......
If it was only a mile to home, did you send your Dan for beer?

Please let us know as soon as you confirm the date with the park. I'm self employed but my sons will want to put in for time off as early as possible. The #2 son suggested the possibility of flying up from Fort Lauderdale for the weekend, too.
Since the park will not require a headcount to...
The one at Drum sold for $860.
I thought long and hard about buying it but decided to spend the money on some of the partly completed projects I've already got.
The canvas was in rough shape and I couldn't tell if the griddle was there. A lot of the bits and pieces were missing but none of...
I'll double check tonight but, I seem to remember the "G" designator as having to to with the type of electrical shielding.
The Humdinger shelters are fully rectangular as the hummer has no protruding wheel wells. The bed is also shorter than 8'.
The S-250 was made to fit in M880 series stuff...
