I'll be in Texas in a week and plan to get some more A1 bumpers and brackets.
Never herd of an A2 aluminum bumper....there were ao/a1 way back....steel is the only way to go.
The newer black one has a totally different latching part for the section that you pull out.
I had some small towbar feet machined down to fit the Hmmwv towbar.
Two different 242's can be used.
Early has a 3 bolt tail shaft, late has a 4 bolt tail shaft.
Early has a small slip yoke, late has a larger slip yoke rear drive shaft.

Tighten locknuts to 85 lb-ft (115 N.m}in tightening sequence shown , then
Tighten locknuts to 110 lb-ft (149 N.m}in tightening sequence shown .
Check for gaps at each stud with an 0.0015 gage.
