An F450 can pull it of course, but it's a tough call. Getting caught w/o brake is likely more than just a slap on the wrist, though (never looked up the penalty, but I hate to admit that I have done it...twice). Both my M1082's were recovered (one 400 miles; one 100 miles) with no brakes...
I have a set that needs balance and a single (rear) that needs a total rebuild.
Looking at options to get it done. We *used* to have several local driveshaft shops, but they are long gone. The places that I've contacted all farm it out. I need to reach out to SA or HOU I suspect.
I may be mistaken here, but I'm thinking that the cab lock won't release w/o hydraulic pressure present.
The little red tit indicator on then latch will pop in/out.
I know.
And I used on for the last LMTV recovery with no issue. :)
And I have one that is missing feet (which is no longer an issue so I can toss a set on it and find it a new home).
But this is mostly for moving trucks around the yard and flat towing my prerunner to the beach.
Will suit...
Where exactly is the leak?
Typically, it's at the truck-side (not cab) and you can see it misting out.
Here's the kit if that is where the leak is:

Picked up a couple of these for $150.
One will be for the rear deck as needed for roadtrips.
Intentions are this can be swapped to the front as well (using a dual receiver-type mount).
I love re-tasking stuff and not a civilian in the world will likely ever know that it didn't come with the...
So I saved this pic for a rainy day (not my truck in top image) because I liked the concept's potential for stowage, luggage, motorcycle, etc.
I want to fab a few various decks for it depending on what I'm hauling. And I want it to "go away" so I can still pull my M1082 , car hauler, etc...
Semi-related: I picked up a little tow bar the other day.
Surplus has them for about $1500 (not including the box of included "goodies"). Too rich for my blood.
This wasn't though...
It appears to be the full kit. Never even seen a NOS full kit before.
*I've masked any indication of which...
Yes, the army never spec'ed them and it would have been nice. As far as I know the lockers available are not air or e-lockers (they are "locked") . Most folks only slap on in the rear unless the truck is full-time off-road because lockers will cause you outboard wheel to "skip" in a tight...
Don't have it on me and I'd hate to tell you wrong info. But you can screw the truck up if you don't follow the procedures/restrictions on Mode use (ie: not a good idea to slap it into mode going down the highway, etc).
And these trucks are not really 4x4. They are technically more along the lines of AWD. Pity they didn't see fit to incorporate lockers and give the trucks actual four-wheel locking capability
