Nothing wrong with it, it is a PITA to clean them out afterwards to use for potable water again.
If I were going to do what you are, I would get a M200 ($150-$300) and put a 400 gallon tank on it, or two 250 gallon home heating oil tanks. M149 trailers usually run $1000 and up.
Glad things weren't too bad for you E!
I've left my cable on the m1008 before, but I have that huge rail bumper that I wrap it around, and it doesn't get out of the yard when its like that.
Glad your ok too, molten lead and big arcs can do major damage!
Far enough to make it to the nearest scrap yard.
Just kidding, I like ribbing A3 guys.
Like others have said, a big part of it is how you treat it and how you maintain it.
Common problem, Angie's M109 has been doing it for years. I strapped it up and have driven it many miles that way, but from what I understand it is hard on the gears.
I have a rebuilt transfer ready to go in, just need the time to do it!
I would also deadline the truck until the source of...
MDMorgan is going to fill his with some type of grease, to keep the rain out. Then you can just push through the grease to get to the grease fitting.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do on mine yet.
First thing I would do is check for the ground wire, and make sure it is clean and grounding good. The old lights ground through the bucket, the LED's have to have a seperate ground wire.
They might not have been hooked up correctly on your truck.
Yeah, I've been looking at putting 24.5 on my M915 as well.
If it is a stud piloted rim, as M16ty has said, 99.9% will fit on a 5 ton axle. The biggest issue might be clearance turning or if you had a bed.
