I would just check the in tank pick up and fix any leaks between that and the motor and not add complexity to the system by adding a in tank pump that will cost a couple hundred dollars, if you must put a pump in the system just add a inline pump and it will be easier to add and service later.
Okay so first yes I mean 4/0 if you are going to be jumping off other vehicles. As can tell you from slave starting more trucks than I care to remember, probably around 3000 at this point, slave cables are just barely big enough they get hot quickly so being bigger will help because at this...
I would use a 4/0 positive cable straight to the positive terminal on the batteries and a short 4/0 negative cable to the frame, If you plan on using it for jump starting operations.
Okay JPG let's talk about what you asked about, the M1010 I think you are on the right track but it's still going to be expensive let's get some numbers here.
M1010 5,000.00
Good all spring lift 4" 2,000.00
5 HUMVEE tires and wheels...
Juan have you made it so you can go in low range without being in 6x6? You could also use a extra air tank hooked up to the gladhand. I do this to increase air for running the 3/4" impact.
Okay if I were to try to fix this problem once at home I would do it with an eye towards less connections in the lines like the line from the filter to the pump it's what about 3' long and has 4-6 connections make it one flexible line with 2 connections. You get the picture and I would keep the...
Do any of the numbers match the numbers on the dash? Doesn't look like they will, for you and anyone else who is looking for a number on a BMY they are insanely hard to read straight from the manufacturer they were very lightly stamped for the most part, many so light that they were hard to find...
Here is probably my biggest reason for liking them they are grunt proof or beatle bailey proof, I have the experience to solder a terminal on or crimp one on and get it right but not all privates can do them correctly. The compression fittings are assembled with normal hand tools and any...
Marcus I think if you look closely at the crimped on fitting versus the compression you will find the connections are stronger in the compression fitting. I have seen many crimp on fittings fail even the ones made by Quick Cable which would be my first choice, they leave much more room for...
Afraid I will have to disagree with your assessment of the compression cable terminations, never had one go bad.
Now the clamp on terminals are junk, think that's what you meant by camp-on.
Only thing is you need to do the 5 mile surface street run again, hwy speeds push enough air that some of these trucks will cool off with no fan, slow steady stop and go will get it hot faster.
Yeah I use the liquid electrical tape then while that is wet heat shrink it with whatever color I need, never had a failure and drove 30 miles one time with the battery hanging by my cables, tray broke off in a jeep.
Also as mentioned above flush, flush, flush. If y'all saw the crud come out of the good looking trucks we have disassembled everyone would be flushing there trucks, I have even thought about flushing my 2012 rebuild.
Doghead hit the nail on the head for anyone having a temperature problem on these trucks please grab a IR gun and check out the temperature of the truck the sending units tend to fail high which is a good thing but can spook you a little bit when it happens.
