I went to the DMV about three weeks ago and submitted my historical vehicle paperwork for my M109. Lucky its a Jeep-Kaiser so the cleck though it was a normal military jeep. SHe charged me $240 and said it will take at least 3 for my plates. The $24 0seemed a litte high but its worth the plates...
So I showed up early at Barstow and did a quick look over on the truck. I did not inspect this truck before bidding so it was a crap shoot. I was surprised! The truck was over hauled recently and everything looked brand new under the hood. The engine data plate was date 9/97. The truck even had...

This could be a dumb question but I have hooked up my airhose to the handshake valve. Then Ive opened the valve next to the hankshake and nothing. I even got under the truck and followed to the line back the tank area looking for anothe valve. An I missing somthing? It there a hidden valve or...
I just got an M185a3 a few weeks ago. I was wondering the same thing prior to getting mine. The only difference that Ive noticed so far during my overhaul, is that the M185 has a huge additional DC plug below the AC plug. The shop van box is slightly wired differently.
I decided it was time to move up from the trusty M1028. I was looking at M109'a or awhile and won this M185a3 from Barstow. I won it without inspecting it. I submitted my EUC on 3/25 and got approval today, the 31st. My 1st EUC took like a month so 4 working days is amazing. Now I plan to drive...
That sounds like an early symptom of the Hydraboost failing. Specially if turning one way is harder than the other. Mine did the same thing and there was also steering fluid dripping down behind the brake pedal.
I replaced the starter and a GM starter relay. I spent the extra money for the made in china GM part to prevent this from happening again. Good idea one the battery cut off switch. Thats cheap insurance so I think I will install one. Thanks Guys
My relay is only two months old. I pulled the gear reduction starter and could smell the problem. I pulled the solenoid off and it (solenoid) reeked. The starter does not smell. Do you think I should just replace the solenoid and give it a try? I will start looking for a supplier for this...
Thanks guys for your input. I just replaced the relay about two months ago. Im almost sure I also fried the starter because it was cranking for awhile.
Attempted to start my M1028 today and there was no power sent to the starter. I went inside the house and had the keys in my pocket. A short time later while I was on the phone, I heard a truck cranking. After about twenty seconds, I still heard the cranking and I realized it was my truck. I...
I left everything (DUVAC,both Leeces) in place and hooked up in case the new Sure power equalizer failed. It has worked perfect for almost two years now.
Here is a band aid for it:
