Anybody Running 915,916,917,920 without the secondary air filter

I have yet to find a inner filter to replace mine with. Right now I'm only running an outer filter. I would also like to look into putting a filter out on the fender/side cowl for cooler air and a easier/cheaper filter.

Official 2012 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Most of the hoses are new! I plan to keep them as spares. I also wanted to keep the motors and such as spares. Is there a scrap yard nearby? :D How about I'll keep picking up crap for your girlfriend?

How about I just leave the old bed at Clinto's house for a year or two?

Official 2012 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I could strip all I could strip off the wrecker- single out the rear, cut all the tool boxes and stuff off the bed, take the spare off, fuel tanks, rear winch cable etc

Official 2012 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Of course you do! It needed a new cab, and I have been using the crane around the yard some. Just used it last night to reposition a 2k poly tank in my tank farm. The bed needs quite a bit of work to be fully operational. I found a m936 bed in the classifieds that is ready to go. So to save...

Official 2012 SS Ga Rally Info thread

A m543A2 weighs 35klbs give or take, a M54A2 weighs 19klbs give or take. There is the frame doubler, and the beam in the springpack, but otherwise the other 16klbs is mostly bed. I was under the assumption a wrecker's 20k capacity was directly off the side of the truck, not with the boom all the...

If I can get a commitment that there will be two wreckers there FOR SURE- then I will bring my m543 and the new bed and do the swap there.

    M915a1 oil pressure sending unit

It is just under and behind of where the fuel filter goes, against the block. I've knocked the wire off several times when changing the filter.

I knew a fella that started with the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1943. They were so desperate for hostlers in the yards, they were taking almost anyone. He was 14!!! He showed me pictures of all the grand old PRR engines he got to shuttle around the yard, by himself!

    Diesel pump transfer unit specs..?

I don't have the TM. I usually work off the 'I know what this part, this part, and this part do separately, so if I do this or that then the output should be this' method. Hasn't blown up or killed me... YET. I have disassembled mine, as I plan to modify it and mount it with a pod on what's...

    Is the M880 gearbound

The dodge D600 I collect WVO in has a 318- it was sitting for 7 years and now with very little work (new belts, hoses, etc) she is out running for 5-7 hours straight, lots of starts and stops with loads and without. Hauls 800 gallons around and gets 10mpg doing it. Love the motor. I had a...

I was using the wrecker around last night, picked the new tank up and put it into place. I wish it hadn't been at night, I'd have gotten some good pics and video. All I'm saying, is others besides me post Military RR related threads, some of us even own former military RR equipment. Just saying.
